gimme the GOD drat candy posted:i was expecting something much more bleak after the previous chapter. A couple of the chapter endings have seemed like bait and switches. The eyeball seemed much more menacing when it first appeared. I thought it was some of Phos' cast off remnants and we'd get some kind of climax in the final few chapters. But the following chapter defused that tension straight away. At this point it's hard to see what could happen that would amount to anything other than "and they lived happily ever after".
