It's funny how despite clearly having a robot in the keyart and labeling itself a mecha show, Rumble Garanndoll seems stubbornly against showing the robot doing anything in previews. I'll still try it though, and I'm looking forward to Ghost Game, Sakugan and Musashi.

they've made it hard to tell exactly what it is but i parsed it as a toku type thing from the description and previews and japanese name (battery girl), not necessarily mecha. either way i like the director and the character designer so i'm gonna watch out of curiosity.

It's kind of hard to identify in the list just from the JP title. I don't blame the comphet parts of Amanchu season 2 on Sato Jun as that's the manga but a lot of Season 2 outside of that was just boring or dragged in places before I dropped the series and that I do blame that on the director.

Preliminary interests to me are Sakugan, 86 Part II, Blue Period, Faraway Paladin, Deep Insanity, Night Beyond the Tricornered Window, and Heiki Monogatari. Granted, I haven't even watched the trailer for most of these, so I have no idea what their quality level is. Just hoping that this season ends up being more interesting than summer, out of the seven shows I picked up last season only one did I actually end up finishing.

So, assuming there are enough hours in a day, I'm at least trying the mecha swarm (I finished Back Arrow. Tt takes a lot to make me ditch a mech anime), continuing on Heike, seeing how Mieruko works as a show, and watching Lupin. Everything else is conditional.

The Gundam shorts are directed by Obari and tie into the phone game, which is all about mech nerds gushing over how cool robots are. I think your need for big swords and yelling about robots is likely going to be covered.
