While a grain platform can be used for corn, a specialized corn head is ordinarily used instead.

Come back NJAN so I can ask you which bit of the wiring regs allows you to differentiate supply phases using the colours brown, brown and brown.

If that bit of wiring rubs you the wrong way wait till you see the massive bundle of wires running the length of the L that supplies the lights & stuff.

I’ve still no idea why he has three phase, I am guessing multiple car chargers as one + heat pump should be fine with 100A.

Anyone gonna visit the L and make sure 99 isn't locked in the attic by a now awakened house, or mummified in miles of cabling??

The magnetic field it generates causes anyone within half a mile to forget why they’re there and go home. It’s why he had so much trouble getting engineers out.

You can't power 800 ethernet switches and 20,000 miles of CAT-7 simultaneously off of single phase.

100a is just enough for my garage! I wish I could get 3ph residentially in the US, so many tools I've had to pass up because it wouldn't be worth the cost of a converter.

OP needs to update us on the L shaped skynet.

Is it 100A single phase? Or 3phase? Anyway with a 3x25 A service, as is normal for a house where I live, the theoretical maximum effekt is 44 kilowatts (pf of .85), despite that only being 75A if you sum the different phases together. 3 phase is magic like that.

This is about equal to an american 240V 200A service.

It’s worth noting that in the UK we get big boy voltage at 230V, so that would be 23KW.

I had a video of that when I was about 6.

I remember it being shit.

Grimey Drawer
AFAIK, UK domestic single phase is normally 60-100 A (ideally 100), 220-250 V (240+/-) depending on how ancient and abused the local supply is. Three phase is supposed to be 3x100A.

I read through about 5 explanations of 3-phase just now. I very slightly understand it but you definitely have to have a strong base in general electrical principles to really know wtf is going on.

I'll leave it at 'magic'.

I've gotta be missing something here. It's roughly 14.7 kw. You are off by a factor of three.

It's called 3 phase because that's how many companies it has to go through before they finally get their poo poo together and install it.
