I'm glad it seems like, in the boat arc, Anya's going to be helping save Yor. It's always been the other way around or, at best, the moment when she intimidates the poisoner/bomber to let his revenge go. I need something more concrete! I haven't read the manga or spoiled myself in any way, btw.

The whole firework sequence was great but the part with the assassins introducing themselves but then it immediately cuts to them lying dead on the ground before they could even finish saying what their speciality weapon is was hilarious.

I liked the visual metaphor for action and violence being like fireworks where each violent act is just as exciting each time despite it being basically the same every time. I just thought that was a very cool aspect to lampshade.

I've been looking forward to BOAT ARC ever since the anime was announced and boy did it not disappoint. It was great seeing this anime turn into straight up Darker than Black for an episode there with a pretty wild amount of violence, though given the anime and manga began with lots of people being blown to bits I guess it's not really out of place. Really fun to see that sort of range though from an anime/manga that's about 6/10ths stuff like "We gotta get those sweets so we can ace the test!" type plots. I don't think there's quite the right pace for it, but I'd love 2-3 episodes very similar in tone to BOAT ARC every season. Really any time we get to see Yor in full assassin mode it's great, so I'd just take more of that at least. I was fully on board with the manga as soon as I saw the panels of the family in increasingly dope outfits as things happened to ruin their clothes on the way to the school interview, but BOAT ARC is really something special and is when the full potential of this series really came into view for me. Thank you for a great time watching anime BOAT ARC

I loved that it's not just balls-to-the-wall murder, it's also some crucial personal development for both Yor and Loid. The coda at the end where Loid catches himself starting to think of themselves as a real family was extremely  Last episode had the bit I was most looking forward to, where the action was intercutting between the mayhem, the fireworks, and those two doofus coworkers at the casino, and the direction really didn't disappoint.

A joke they don't go back to but that I found hilarious is that the "show bedroom" when Loid decks his room out to look like a married couple lives in it is 100% newlywed style complete with two "yes" sex pillows. Which are his and hers pillows you use to signal if you're up for doing it that night.

Just caught up on Season 2 and the boat arc was something I wasn't aware of ahead of time and goddamn was it a good loving time. Anya constantly getting sidetracked in her efforts to distract Loid with fun only to end up distracted by fun herself was wonderful, loved whenever she'd suddenly realize she's lost hours having a good time. Yor getting so much focus, especially in this arc, has been a real treat to watch.

When Anya started gushing about seeing Sickle and Chain Barnaby, Betty(?) looked completely shocked and at first I assumed she somehow knew about that guy from her arms dealing family, but the other children looked just like here there. That was just the embarasment at that weird lie. And I doubt that guy was a big arms buyer anyway. I wonder if Yuri will ever develop past his one bad joke.

Other Spy X Family arcs can only hope to match its greatness.Admittedly a huge chunk of my personal admiration for the arc is finally seeing Yor fully cutting loose and seeing lots of fun assassins matched up against her.

Why do people feel the need to have romance introduced into this mission based spy story? Their allegiances just lie with their jobs and countries and they don't think about those things past the point of keeping their facade. Anything past that is unfounded speculation.
