Finally got around to checking out the first episode on Hulu and next thing I know I've binged through all of them, and now I'm sad I'm caught up. I'm seriously considering rewatching them all over again. I was originally planning on trying to be an adult and sleeping tonight

Anya has had the best faces in the show so far, but I think Loid's expression when he was listening to Yor tell Yuri that she forgot to tell him was up there with some of hers. Show good

Also, my favorite part of the episode might have been Anya squirmming around in Loid's grasp. Lot of shows wouldn't bother with that, but it makes her feel like she's a little kid and I appreciate that

Yor loving ended that man. She's a good mama, Loid's a good papa. I really hope they don't change the OP/EP when the show comes back. They're perfect as is, and everything that follows will be less so

This does have the side effect that the only thing Yor is "allowed" to do in the meantime is to Punch Really Hard, which is great to watch but doesn't do a great job at making her stand out, since Loid can Punch Okay and also does a shitload of crazy stunts. We'll eventually get a very good Yor-centric arc, but as mentioned before that'd be next season at the earliest unless they skip a ton of content. I wonder if the mangaka regrets making Yor an assassin

The puking gag is still great (with the follow-up gag of Bond just passed out on the floor after trying Yor's cooking and no one saying anything about it was hilarious), but yeah, Yuri's obsession makes it hard to like the character. I feel like he's the one big misstep in the series so far; Yuri could have been just overprotective of his older sister instead of obsessive, and he still would have been a threat to Loid (both on a micro and macro level to his mission), but it was taken too far. Hell, he still could love Yor's cooking and constantly puke while eating it without the obsession, all you have to say is that's what he grew up with and it reminds him of good times, and it works fine. Caught up on my shows today, and while I wasn't expecting a beam struggle in Spy x Family, I am so goddamn happy we got one.TwoPair posted:"If I could only give myself a uterus this would be so much easier..."
