Hoshi no Samidare/Wakusei no Samidare/Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer (the names make this is a pain to search for) definitely deserves a . It's possible the adaptation may suck, that's always a risk, but the manga is enormously loved for a reason. The original/first season Devil is a Part Timer was also great, here's hoping the new one can keep that up.

The only thing I'll be watching this season is Lycoris Recoil, which I frankly have no idea what to expect from, the promotional material has been vaguely baffling (post-disaster cute girl action workplace slice of life with guns??). I feel like it's either gonna be great or a total mess, which is the most exciting kind of anime

Devil is a Part-Timer part 2, for sure. it's the debut of Alas Ramus, the best character in the series Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer is a great manga, might check out the anime if they don't botch the adaptation Isekai Uncle, already reading it but I might check out the anime too if they do a good job with it

Really looking forward to Yurei Deco, I believe in Science Saru. Also the Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer adaption could be the first time the story sticks with me. I've fallen off the manga twice (once when it was still running, and again when it was completed) so perhaps the third time's the charm. I generally prefer anime to manga anyhow. Also for folks fortunate enough to get Fathom Events stuff at their local theater, The Deer King is playing on the 13th and the 14th. I have heard mixed things but hell, in this gamer's opinion it's good to catch original anime movies on the big screen whenever possible.

I think I will wait until Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer is finished and see what the community consensus is before I check it out. Yes, I will don my sheep costume now, thank you for asking. The PV animation looks pretty mediocre, but then again Studio Naz' Angolmois had poor animation and I thought it was alright by the end. ID: Invaded was great, albeit due to the director's influence more than the studio itself. I'll watch Bastard, since it's been a good while since I've seen a genuine fantasy anime (rather than one of the million isekai knockoffs). They won't be showing nipples though, the cowards. Rays of light, convenient hairstyles, (canonically) glowing body parts, strategically placed rubber duckies, seriously give me any other kind of censorship rather than making half the cast look like they evolved in the alternate reptilian timeline. Call of the Night sold me by virtue of its OP. I don't know how long I'll stick with it, I typically drop out of watching slice-of-life anime but apparently the author included a plot this time around? I'm told the anime probably won't get to it though.  Gonna check out Yurei Deco, I've liked a number of Science Saru's other stuff. The Flash animation they're using bugs me though, we'll see how much it matters in the end. I know little of Bucchigure, but I like the thicker linework they're using (thanks Demon Slayer!) so I'll give it a whirl. Historical stuff can be pretty fun, and I'm getting some Shaman King vibes. The old one, not the more rushed new one. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners oozes style, it's nice to see Trigger revisiting their roots. A must-watch, imo. Made in Abyss S2 I'm looking forward to. The production of the first season and the movie were first-rate efforts. Still though, it comes with the caveat that the author is pretty clearly into some hosed up stuff, so I hesitate to recommend this to others. Did you watch the previous seasons and the movie? Do you want to keep watching? If so, check this out, if not I doubt this will win you over.
