Pretty easy idea. Let's collect memories of just small niceties. When the world is annoying and people seem to suck there will be a bunch of reminders that it's not all bad. I'll throw a couple things out as examples of small things I appreciate as just being nice. Walking down the highway towards my farm and someone turned around and came back to ask if I need a ride and I say it's only a few more minutes walk and they ask if I'm sure. Was getting onto the bus with my kid and someone got on the bus and gave me a 20 to buy him dinner then got back off to go catch her bus. Such small moments that people are cool to others. I love that stuff. I was so used to buying my son these juices with cartoon character heads on them that I'd walk in the store and normally grab one before getting whatever I needed to get there. It was just normal, but I was on the home one day that he wasn't gonna be home and a woman was pushing a stroller by with a kid and I just gave them the juice. It's such a small thing in my head, but maybe that kid was in the mood for a juice. I happened to have matches the other day and stores don't give them out here anymore and I offered the ones I had randomly grabbed somewhere and turned down a dollar for them. Those sound stupid in explaining, but I think that's the point. Doing something nice shouldn't be a big thing or even need to matter. Neither of those matter for PYF nice things, but illustrate that big efforts aren't what I'm shooting for. Not that I think anyone would mind posts of really awesome things people do for others, but it's more just to see things that balance all the stupid things.

I've struggled with my weight my entire life and I used to go for a walk/jog on the trail behind my condo at least 3 or 4 times a week. When you do that consistently you tend to see many of the same people, and one time this athletic lady motioned for me to take off my headphones as we jogged past each other and she shouted "You should be very proud of yourself." It's been probably a decade since that happened and I still think about it from time to time. Thanks mystery lady.
