i liked the beginning of arcv because it does a thing where the young kid hype guy/comic relief character turns out to be a complete loving psycho, which i always like, except i can't think of other times that happened

i finished digimon tamers. it was sick but by far my favorite part of the series was the first half, where it just dealt with kind of lower-stakes consequences of a kid accidentally materializing a monster friend in the world.

it also is one of those series which just kind of nails kid-brain, if you get what i mean. like one of my favorite little jokes is Takato designing Guilmon's evolution and being like "wait, if he has spikes on his back, I won't be able to ride him..."

I had a "borderlands 2" phase which coincides exactly with my "severe depression" phase. I am not saying borderlands 2 caused this, but I'm not not saying this either.
