I'm not surprised this issue was widely known. Companies are terrible places to keep secrets because everything is bragging rights.

I know most people in adjacent industries that use the same venues had a perception that Vince was "whore heavy"(their words) and did more nightlife business than DC lobbyists. And since that's a largely unregulated industry, I wouldn't doubt there's stories about dead hooker coverups given how practiced the WWF coverup of Nancy Argentino was.

I should re-read that playboy article sometime. Its probably one of the few unvarnished looks into Vince's brain.

The mindset inside the company despite, reality fact checking them, is that if they throw money at problems, problems will go away.

Any other org would use this as an opportunity to demonstrate positive choices both on the creative and promotion side.

But this company riven through with people with Vince mindsets. People that don’t feel content unless there’s sobbing and vomiting from the hotel bathroom. Even the Read family’s promotions are less odious.

Yeah politically we're going to see a shift of Dwayne's Guys pushing out Vince's Guys but that doesn't really matter since its going to be same mindset different boss. Despite his obsession with putting iron skulls on everything, Paul Levesque is a competent middle manager guy who'll kiss any rear end if the arrangement is mutually beneficial.

yeah I don't see this going away in any form. There's a lot of room for fuckery so I don't know if this will really kill the business(WWE) like a few vets have hangwrung about. I'm honestly not convinced Vince will see handcuffs, much less jail time.

I would very much Vince to go away with a permanence. And I'd like to see TKO dismantled with WWE and UFC nationalized.

Crossing state or national lines to engage in sexual assault carries no extra penalties. However if you forcefully move someone over state lines(and in some case county lines) that becomes kidnapping on top of sexual assault. Joey Diaz(dirty standup comedian) did that and went to jail for quite a while.

John Cena’s Total Divas stuff was weird because reality shows are there to manufacture drama and yet it was seasons of showing WWEs biggest star to be a rigid control freak who felt he was play acting what a successful adult was supposed to be, and it was entirely consistent with anything we see of him in real life. Buying 55 suits to wear to dinner and then retiring to his boys only cigar room with Johnny Ace.

It can seem silly to bring up in this thread because it’s just fictional reality show trash, but it’s just a consistent picture that he’s obsessionally career focused and approaches everything like he wants to be some warrior monk statesman. There’s nothing bad about him doing lots of Make A Wish but it’s. It a coincidence it was a charity that WWE had a relationship with and he did more than anyone else. He knew he would split up with Nikki Bella because he didn’t want to have children, but supposedly Vince talked him into a proposal at wrestlemania? Again, consistent with his portrayal on the show that he didn’t want children and his engagement would be understood as a promise that he changed his mind, but he didn’t, Vince just wanted him to do it.

Even further back, Hogan's reality show really opened people's eyes what a tire fire that guy's personal life was. I think Cena being an uptight weirdo was more appealing to corporate types, hence the reason he's in hollywood instead of living off of sex tape settlement money.
