I was thinkif about this the other day? alien turnig proved with the Turing test that even back in ww2 computers can "think" but what about web pages? I mean a web page? what is a web page? it's just garbage right? like a certain combination of garbage encoded and emailed down the Internet to your computer? so so the computer think? but the web page is on the computer ? so what computer is doing the thinkig? the server? the receiving computer? the computer cables in between?

the answer is yes web pages can think. CSS is "turing complete" so a web page can do anything any other program can do

i went to a javascript talk with a guy who wrote a raytracer in a webpage that used webworkers and had a central webpage (via CORS) that delegated jobs so i guess that means distributed AI which doesn't depend on subsecond latency will eventuate via websockets / json and you can stop judgment day with lots of alt-f4 hope this helps
