Condiv posted:would you actually freeze in space? I thought the lack of convective heat exchange would cause you to overheat real loving bad real loving quick p. sure in an vacuum with no real atmosphere to capture heat from stars your body heat would be a fart that immediately dissipates but it's not like I'm an astrophysicist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You would not overheat, nor would you freeze immediately. There's no conduction or convection in a vacuum, but your dead body would radiate heat until equilibrium after asphyxiating.

But if you were in a system that didn't cause asphyxiation you would eventually overheat right? I don't think your body can radiate heat fast enough in space to keep you cool (while alive). A moot point I know, but I'm curious. edit: iirc your lungs leech oxygen out of your blood into space in a vacuum, and holding your breath would cause your lungs to explode or rupture or something

The zero gravity environment of space will impede the flow of flood to the genital regions and give you a weaker heart, making any astro-sex much more difficult, and after you've done the deed there will be globs of sweat, semen, vaginal fluid and lube floating through the air all around you.

Actually, I had forgotten that you would in fact probably freeze if say, you had a helmet w/food, air, and water tubes and only your body was exposed. The fluids in your skin would be slowly drawn to the surface and evaporated by the vacuum, creating a sweating effect despite it being 2.7 Kelvin out. idk maybe you could maintain equilibrium at some point. Many people pay literally zero attention to politics until the last second, if at all. Other than vague biases picked up from their friends and family there is simply nothing there to make a decision on. So you get people who latch onto one talking point from each side right before the election, judge them equally valid, and then their brains stall trying to decide between two "equal" things. "Trump is Hitler, but Hillary said she will start World War 3, how do I choose?!?" and similar utter idiocy is the result. Or that gently caress who couldn't decide between human rights and maybe getting coal subsidies.

I'm still undecided, but my vote can totally be bought. Just waiting for a good enough offer. Just Kidding. I'm voting hard for Johnson. Gianthogweed has issued a correction as of 07:11 on Oct 27, 2016 |
