But not-so-secretly, most of the American people want it. On the right, that's immigration enforcement. On the left, it's Single Payer. Unlike the GOP, the Senate Dems are too cowardly to eliminate the filibuster for their healthcare plan. A couple of Democucks (that would be a word in this alternate history, I am worldbuilding here) vote Nay but it doesn't matter, they don't get anywhere near 60 votes anyway.
