If one believes the Freemason conspiracy is so big it can fake the shape of the planet, shouldn't one be more worried about all the far more sinister stuff they'd be able to fake with that level of control?

That was far right conspiracy nutjob Senator Malcolm Roberts but he got kicked out when someone pointed out that there's a law prohibiting people with dual citizenship from being elected to parliament and he'd never rescinded his British citizenship. He tried to fight it in court and put up a hilariously pathetic defence which completely fell apart when it was revealed that before he'd been elected he'd tried to send an email with the heading “Am I still a British citizen?” the the British government (which shows that he was 100% aware of the issue) but he sent it to the wrong email address so he never got a reply and he never followed it up through proper channels.

We have breaking news: flat earthers might not be considering all the facts. Hold on I'm getting more... Yes I'm being told that people who think the Earth is flat are less likely to be aware of the latest science and might be dumb as all hell.

Stay tuned folks we will continue to provide updates on this fascinating story as they become available.

I dunno they probably say “cool, nice deep hole that goes down into the earth, which is flat, by the way”

Also the "latest science" includes poo poo that the ancient Egyptians and Greeks figured out about the globe thousands of years ago. :v:

"I do not consent," screams the man pulled over for doing 120 in a 70 zone and ignoring an RBT stop. The 4 police officers smash the window of his beat up Ford Falcon and drag his rear end out of the car when he refuses to get out or produce a licence.

Good video. 10/10

It's English. The Flat Earth Society is headquartered in London, though of course Americans ran with it.

to be fair there was some Australian dude who declared his farm to be a sovereign nation back in the 70's, and while he wasn't part of the "sovereign citizen" movement of today he did use a lot of the same language and logic.

though I think that guy was actually a bit more clever than the American sovereign citizen people, he declared war on Australia (who didn't notice) and then "ended" the war four days later, then claimed that his land was now legally independent from Australia as he was "undefeated in battle".
