This website is pretty cool and lets you roll a character using the basic rulebook races/classes. https://orcpub2.com/pages/dnd/5e/character-builder You can also use the additional stuff you find online if you import the data for them.

Thanks to Average Bear for a great job DMing, and thanks to all my fellow Imps for a great introduction to the lands of mystery and adventure. Hopefully some of the people who had to skip can make the next one, whenever it is.

Big Bull the volcel monk, Bill Dwarf the hill dwarf, Mazrul the racist cop dwarf, and Flute Guy the flute guy from E3 were ambushed by goblins. We killed 3 out of 4 and spent most of the session harassing the survivor and teaching him to dab as he led us back to their lair. We rolled a 20 on an intimidate check to make him poo poo himself, then a 20 on the investigate check to confirm the poop was in fact purestrain goblin turd. He eventually led us past several horrifying traps and to the entrance to the goblin lair. Next session we will be diving in to that Cave of Terror to rescue the goblin's captives, hopefully before they are cooked.
