I thought Valve had a pretty staunch anti-NFT stance? Or is this just another joke along the lines of "NFTs in games are just gussied up item marketplaces" and I'm whooshing myself so bad right now?
Valve is against NFTs because that way they don't get their 20% of sales.

Also I just tried to finish the Amber Sky questline (the Rainbow Six crossover) and the dumb assholes who "designed" that mission don't deserve better than having to make terrible NFTs for their bosses forever.
The mission is easy. You can snipe the hostage taker through a window and then just parachute on the roof. On the other hand those that decided that you have to escape in that plane can burn in hell for eternity.

Yes that's the specific part I mean. Plane controls suck (rudders what's that?) and there's no checkpoint so you get to clear the entire path again (and then the rear end in a top hat escort NPC runs in front of my guns and dies) if anything goes wrong between the start of the mission and stopping the plane in its intended spot. With all the mandatory stealth missions and the lovely orange fog this "expansion" is terrible. Yeah I know you can sync shot but sometimes finding bodies triggers their alert level in a way that fails the "stay undetected" objective (and sometimes they don't).

I can tell you never fled down a road with enemies on your tail and accidentally drove by a ghost-style mission in wildlands.

It was, looking at the receipts the KSG was 900. Which is still robbery, mind, but pandemic prices. Spent 4k on a Ruger, a Tikka, and a DP12.

when i reset conquest mode does it mess with my character in any way or just let me redo the missions etc again?

e; clicked the button and the resulting dialogue answered question (it doesnt harm/gently caress ur character in any way, just resets mission and the world to sqaure 1, but not story mode, which is good and perfect)

is there a (up to date-ish) spreadsheet of weapon stats? i found one but its incomplete/older

its not so much that im trying to min/max per se, but the UI is a slog and id rather a spreadsheet for finding the info///idk if this games tooltips represent the actuality of the numbers like some games dont etc

it probably doesnt matter as far as how i'd be able to complete the game but i still like seeing the info, also idk if different guns or ammo penetrate armor better etc

Seems like I'm digging up quite an old thread. But I got Ghost Recon on the cheap during the Steam sale and I like it a lot. What I'm wondering is what's the best way to farm Skell credits? I've looked around on Youtube but it seems a lot of the tricks have been fixed.

Uhh...I've heard some praise about Wildlands being a decent shooty-sneaky-bangbang game, as long as you skip all the cutscenes, and I could be in a mood for that for 15 bux.
Is Wildlands or Breakpoint a better game for that?

I played all of Breakpoint and had a great time, I consider it one of the underappreciated releases that year. Personally, I got there by turning the lethality of enemies up and the UI down, and playing it as more of a splinter cell type game.

I just realized that Ubisoft does the cool thing of letting you play any of the games for 2 hours without making you refund them, so I might as well just try it for myself.

I had a ton of fun with Breakpoint, because I picked it up after the initial bugs had been patched out and went in knowing basically nothing about the story, other than it's an open-world shooter. There's an initial learning curve, especially with the Titans or whatever the big drones are called, but once you realise that if the rest of your team get killed they'll respawn if you move far enough away, you can carve down even very powerful enemies by attrition.

I killed the big boss - okay, saying I killed him may be an exaggeration - much sooner than I should technically have been able to by plinking down the Titan outside his HQ, then blundering inside, having no idea what was going on and frantically telling my team of colour-coded badass women to shoot anything they saw, then while I was running around in the dark trying not to get shot they annihilated him all on their own. :hellyeah:

It's also a really good gorgeous landscape simulator. I would often head up to the glacier just for the view.

More games should have an option to turn off loot threadmills.

I'd prefer if game didn't have them in the first place but you can't have everything I guess.

I still think Wildlands is the better game even after all the fixes for Breakpoint. The world just feels more lived in.

In WL civilians and rebels will drive around in cars or do actual day to day activities like hang clothing out to dry. In BP, the only civilians are workers standing inside a lab or warehouse who act annoyed that you are murdering the private army that took over. It really feels strange how empty they made an open world game feel.

WL is also one of my favorite PVP experiences and it’s a shame that it never got popular but it was also released months after the game came out.

I actually like Wildlands way better, contrary to thread opinion. Breakpoint takes itself extremely seriously, whereas Wildlands has a fair bit of snark poking fun at the military-industrial complex and the US's long history of unwanted military and political interference in South America, your team are actually a decent cast of characters with distinct personalities, etc. IMO a lot of the shoothouse design is better too. Last but not least, the soundtrack for Wildlands is way better, both the incidental Andean folk music and the narcocorridos written about the Santa Blanca cartel (which are often quite funny and/or poignant). Last but not least the Bolivian countryside in Wildlands is spectacular, whereas their implementation of pseudo-New-Zealand in Breakpoint looks a lot more like the greater Seattle area.

I have noticed that the audio spatialization of voices is off, in this game. As in, you can really hear which directions the voices are coming from, the echo seems way too strong, and the volume doesn't seem to take the range into account well enough (there's some level of it but it doesn't feel very accurate and you can't really estimate the distance of an enemy based on it). Is there a mod or patch or setting that helps with that? I've checked Nexus with no luck.
