I get my fun here. Enjoy!
Scarface- agreed, fun game, even if a lot of the missions are tough as ****.

The comment about NPCs with rocket launchers reminded me of an essential Saints Row 2 strategy: any time one of your allies gets a rocket launcher, kill them, take it, and then revive them. Because otherwise they will hit you with it at some point.

Lost my poo poo when the homie that ran over in front of you at 11:52 and started teabagging.

:yosbutt: "AM I HELPING? YEAH, BITCH! YOU LIKE THAT GAMEPLAY?"

Dead weight, just like this post.

The only things i remember about the Scarface game was that you got bonuses for shooting enemies in the nuts and that one of the features was actually talking to the random people that walk by on the street! The conversations were nothing special but i can't think of any other open world game that lets you do anything with the bystanders other than heckle or kill them.

It was the first game (maybe for sandboxes) that had a portable radio station. So you can walk around enjoying the details while listening to all the music. Imagine not needing a vehicle to listen to music in your sandboxes. You can also mash the swear button when bumping other cars, so Tony is hating on everything the whole time.

Oh yeah, the Scarface game is pretty solid. I mean I got sick of listening to Tony Montana jabber on and on all the time and the final mission is like playing doom on nightmare, but it's really fun and had some enjoyable game mechanics.

Episode 41 (FINAL): End of the Line

We finish the story and hit that sweet, sweet 100%. Like I say in the video, this technically isn't the *final* final episode because there's one more bonus video left, but this definitely is the end of the story and the 100% run.

The most virtuous child in the entire world.
I've been waiting for that final Catalina phone call since the LP got to San Fierro. I couldn't remember where it came in precisely though.

Anyway congrats on 100% and finishing the story! That's a hell of an accomplishment.

Even with all that effort of building up an empire, you still had to go alone. You could have used explosives.
That mission was a mess.

That final mission was ambitious and hell and I appreciate that, even if it's kind of contrived that CJ would just go in there by himself. Especially after just having picked up Sweet to go do this. Should've had Sweet and the Grove boys holding the perimeter outside or something.

I think overall San Andreas is the best GTA game of them all. Even if it's got some frustrating missions and gets a little thin in the back half, they put a lot of love into this game.

I’m glad we went in alone. No escort final mission please! On the game quality, I could not agree more

Just have some hired goons grab him and bring him to you, if you want to kill him yourself. Or have the goons kill him if you don't. Absolutely no reason to fight your way through his fortified lair.

Thanks for the LP of a sometimes flawed but terribly fun game!

Bonus: Victory Lap

:frogsiren: MOTION SICKNESS WARNING for fast motion! :frogsiren:

With the 100% run finally over and done with, it's time to head back to San Andreas one more time to participate in some athletic competition and show off some stuff we didn't get around to yet.

I'll be quite busy with work for a few months (on some quite exciting projects I can't talk about in detail at the moment, but they involve video game localization) so I don't know when I'll have time to actually start another full LP, let alone schedule anything with ChaosArgate thanks to the usual time zone shenanigans, but I'm sure we'll figure something out at some point. (EDIT: Since I apparently can't help myself, we're already working on a new LP...) The Spider-Man: Miles Morales thread will be on hiatus as well, with the idea being that I'll continue that LP once I actually get a PS5 and get to show that game off the way it was meant to be.

And if you're not following the Casual LP thread (like most people, apparently), here's a one-off LP episode I uploaded yesterday:

Some idiot posted:

LP One-Off: Carmageddon 64

As some of you may have noticed, AVGN released a video of this game a few days ago. However, since he wasn't familiar with Carmageddon II, he couldn't really go into detail on why this port is so abysmal. I, on the other hand, have played entirely too much Carmageddon II and can go into all sorts of detail, so now I shall suffer for your amusement...

And to answer the question in the clickbait thumbnail, not really. This is definitely an awful port, but there have been worse over the years.

Oh yeah, and MOTION SICKNESS WARNING! (I swear I wasn't drunk when I recorded this, but I'm not so sure about the person who programmed the car handling)

Thank you all for watching and commenting, we'll see you later! It's been a fun time.

Why does everyone think I'm going to get in trouble?

It's been a fun ride, I'm a little sad to see we're at the end of the PS2 GTA trilogy but boy did these games just keep getting better and better this gen.

Oh, right. It certainly does.

I didn't record all of the WCTR News segments myself, but here's a playlist of them all.

The DJs on other stations also comment on story events from time to time.
