Lots of people with bad opinions in this thread. Brazil nuts are great, and remind me more of macadamia nuts than any other common nut. Also, I'm pretty sure Brazil nuts are both sustainable and helpful to local communities, so there's that. Walnuts rule, and I'll eat them by the handful. Plus, walnuts still in the shell have the added bonus of letting me impress people by cracking them one-handed due to my exceedingly strong grip. Peanuts are garbage-tier, and only belong in sauces or candy, where their intense mediocrity is balanced out by something else. I won't buy mixed nuts if they include peanuts, and have been getting to the point where I view cashews as approaching peanuts in mediocrity because in better nut mixes they seem to take the place of peanuts as filler. Pecans, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts - all good. Cashews okay. Peanuts gently caress off.
