There is no legal way you are responsible for pool repairs. If the pool needs repairing ( For example the pump fails or there is an electrical issue or an Issue with the Safety Fence ) then that's on the owner of the property. Just like if something stopped working in the house you would contact the Rental Place your renting through, they would then notify the owner and send out the relevant repair person to repair said thing.

The most you would be responsible for regarding the pool is general maintenance ie:removing debree / leaves etc and purchase of the needed chemicals needed for the pool water.

The rental agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on friend and the Tribunal would laugh the real-estate & Owner out of the court room fyi.

Also when was the last pool safety certificate issued? Is the pool registered? as per law ?

QLD needs to be done every 2years. NSW every 3yrs Vic every 4years SA every 2 years.

That's true but landlords pretty much hold all the cards at the moment if they're in a position to end your tenancy any time soon.

Exactly. Although it doesn't look like that pool meets safety standards which are very strict such as fence height.
