Hey all, I am unfortunately in a lovely situation with 2 emergeny expenses that have come up that I am unable to afford - and will likely see me and my mother out on the street, and I would be without a working vehicle, if I can't get them paid. I've reached out to the mod team and they have generously agreed to allow me to post this thread. If you are able to donate towards the goal it would really help me out. I would not be doing this if I still had favours or resources to call upon. I have been selling things to try and build back my emergency funds, but it's just not happening any time soon. Good luck. It's probably worth mentioning to others that the donation box apparently doesn't convert to the viewer's local currency and stays in Australian dollars, which is currently at a very nice $1 AUD = $.69 USD. Make sure you scale your donations appropriately.

Worth mentioning that the Australian rental market is extremely tight at the moment and there's a high likelihood that anyone who loses their current rental won't be able to secure another.

Done. I can't stress how hard it is to find a place to rent in Australia let alone any major city. I have multiple staff who are now crashing on friends'/parents couches because the market is so hosed.
