well-read undead posted:i did plenty of other stuff well, like the flooring in the entire rest of the house. but when you're doing something for the first time, learning as you go, there will be mistakes. some people are more resilient to that than others, and since i'm neither resilient nor did i find it at all enjoyable, i just don't do it anymore like when I swapped an engine out of an mk2 ford escort and then sold it. i had a lot of bolts left over but it worked and I learned something

i may have to go into the office today. a Monday. the worst kind of Monday: a “in the office Monday to get facetime with the visiting out of town VP” kind of Monday. this does afford the opportunity to challenge him to honorable 1:1 combat and then cheat most underhandedly so as to usurp his position though.
