I just purchased a ZVex Fuzz Factory (Vexter Series) and well, I kinda wish I had a Big Muff Pi instead. Also, a dunlop crybaby and a distortion pedal, as those three cost the same as what I paid.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf-Zck7YURs

It's an awesome pedal though. Excellent condition. I could probably get 150 on Craigslist, but I was wondering if anyone would like to make a trade instead. Could be cash + pedals, or just pedals or whatever.

Happy trails.

I've still got a ProjectMix for sale that's seen no interest on Craigslist and Kijiji. It's in immaculate condition, only missing the FW cable and there's some box damage that I'll tape up. I'm only looking for about $900CAD for it now.

Also, I've got a pair of turntables that I bought brand-new and almost never used - never gigged, only sampled a few times. Stanton STR8-60s with 890SA cartridges (& spare needles), also in great condition. Two StageMaster TT1200 heavy-assed cases with them, too. I'm looking for about $450CAD.

Make me some offers. I know what this stuff is worth so please dont insult me, but tell me what youve got or what you can do.

As to trade, I still have that Alesis ADAT Xt8 if anyone's interested...

Traded. Thanks.

I have a RedSound Darkstar in excellent condition up for trade. I prefer trades, though I could also let the thing go for $170 shipped via priority mail with tracking to US addresses only.

The whole shebang includes the synth (of course), Vocoda 1.0 chip, Vocoda overlay, chip pulling tool, rackmount kit, power supply and MIDI cable. Everything included is intact and in fantastic condition, though the box is a little worse for wear. Everything works perfectly but is being offered AS IS due to being used.

In trade I'm looking for just about anything gear-related. More specifically I'm seeking out some sort of looper, octave effects, pitch shifters, envelope filters...anything along these lines. I'll consider anything.

Make an offer via PM as it's the quickest way to get my attention. Otherwise, mail to hadopelagic DOT depths AT gmail DOT com.

For trades, I could use a small amp head for bedroom practicing, like an HT-5, Night Train, Rebel 20, or similar (obviously doesn't have to be a straight swap - can add or take cash). I would just LOVE an AC15 head. Guitars are fine, too, but no strats, teles, or locking trems, please!

If you want to just buy it outright, $700 obo would work.

Here's my Traynor YGM-3 up for sale, it has an EL-84 output stage with European Industries NOS tubes and a Jensen MOD 50 replacing the horrible sounding stock Marsland speaker. It was originally closed back but there just isn't enough power to drive that sort of configuration, and taking it off really opened up the sound of the amp. I'm leaving for college and it would be prohibitively expensive for me to take this thing down to oregon and back, so now it's up for sale. I'm interested in trades for a Jazzmaster, a POD X3 Live + cash, or a low wattage tube amp head (AC-15, Night Train, Mesa, etc) Price is $500 plus shipping.

1990 Ibanez JEM77FP - $850 (scroll to the bottom to skip the narrative and see the pictures)

This has been my go-to live and recording guitar since I bought it in 1991. I've played probably 250-300 shows with this thing, it's on around two dozen albums and demos, and it's logged a *lot* of hours of rehearsal, lessons, practicing, and just general noodling. That said, I can't play much anymore due to my hands, and I'm looking at yet another move soon. It's time to stop carrying this guy around for sentimental value and sell it on.

If you're not familiar with the JEM, this is one of the archetypal Ibanez guitars from the early 90, a shred-oriented superstrat designed by Steve Vai. The body's basswood, with a bolt-on maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extremely jumbo frets (Dunlop 6100). The neck on these isn't quite as thin as the original Wizard neck, it's closer to what became the Wizard 2 on later guitars (~21mm at the 12th fret). Still very thin and comfortable, these late 80s-early 90s necks are one of the things that Ibanez was known for at the time. I dig 'em. The 21st through 24th frets are scalloped, supposedly it helps the sustain. The electronics are original: Two DiMarzio PAF Pro humbuckers and a DiMarzio JEM single coil. I've had a few other pickups in and out over the years, but the originals always seemed to sound "right" so they've stuck around. The sound is very vocal, with a midrange peak that gives a sort of vowel sound.

If the first paragraph didn't make it clear, this guitar has been around, and it has some scars. The original Edge tremolo broke in 1996 or 1997, and was replaced with a Floyd because I had to play a show the next day. I had intended at some point to put another Edge in there to bring it back to factory spec, but the Floyd worked and sounded fine, so I never bothered. I dropped it (never, ever use lovely straps) a few months later, which resulted in three dings on the bottom (visible from the front as well) and a cracked neck. There are also some scratches on the back, and the usual Ibanez wear on the neckplate. I had a refret done around 2000, and the frets have been dressed and cleaned up a few times over the years. All major and most of the minor repairs were done by Paul Flynn, who last I heard was at Truetone Music in Santa Monica, CA. Paul is one of those guys who is always stupidly busy and whose work doesn't come cheap, but he's very, very good at what he does.

The case it's in is the original one (yes, the pink fur is factory stock). It's a bit beat on the outside, but the inside is fine and the combination lock still works, as do both latches. I switched it over to an anvil-style HSC after a few years, so the case has been spared some travel wear compared to the guitar. It's still not likely to pass for mint unless blind.

The best part of this guitar for me, which is shocking given its design and aesthetics, is the versatility. This was my #1 guitar when I was playing in metal bands, but it was also my #1 guitar for several years of jazz bands before I switched to playing Strats and then hollowbodies. In particular, the PAF Pros did a really nice job of cutting through a horn section, it has a very punchy quality that sits well in a crowded arrangement. For recording, I went to this guitar first any time I needed a humbucking sound. Metal, trip-hop, blues, clean-toned funk, all kinds of stuff. I've gotten a few strange looks, and the aesthetics might limit the live potential in certain bands, but the guitar records very well in all kinds of settings.

I want to reiterate: this is a playing guitar, not a collecting guitar. New to excellent condition JEMs show up on Ebay all the time for $1500-2000, so if you want a collectible, go there. I'm not even going to try and tell you this guitar is "like new" or even in "good condition." It's a worn workhorse of an instrument that's been played a ton. It sounds good, plays amazingly, and has never given me any trouble. And it certainly looks unique.

I'm in Las Vegas and I'm happy to do local delivery if you're interested. Beyond that, you tell me where you want it shipped, you pay for it, and I'll ship it.

I have a Micro Q-tron that I no longer need. Figured I'd see what might be available in terms of trade (I likely have a buyer for it should I want to sell outright, but I'd like to see what gear ppl might want to part with for it).

Great little envelope filter from Electro-Harmonix. For those of you unfamiliar with envelope filters, it acts almost like an auto-wah, but instead of responding to a set rate, it reacts to your playing dynamics. Play harder, the wah has a greater filter sweep, play softer and it has less.

Has the same circuitry as the older Mini Q-tron, just in a smaller package. Accepts boss-style 9v power adapter. Daisy-chainable. Has Low, Band, and High Pass filter modes with Q and Drive (Sensitivity) control.

Here are a few clips of the Q:

(With my Pbass)

(With my Lakland, Q comes in a little later on this one, was also trying out my VT Bass pedal)

Not just for bass though. Works just as well on guitar:

As for what I'd be looking for... Anything bass specific really. Road/rack cases and other useful accessories considered. I wouldn't mind a 3-4 guitar stand/rack either.

This is a little difficult to part with, but I really have no use for it anymore...

1993 Epiphone G-Something, '61 Reissue style, wine red transparent. I've had this guitar since I was 13 (I am now 28). Just replaced the pots with some new 250k (smoother sound, less bite). The neck pickup is missing a height-adjustment screw, but that will be replaced before shipping it out.

Has some battle scars, but nothing too major. I love a worn instrument, but that's just me. And best part is that all the scars came from actually playing the drat thing.

I'd like to hear what anyone has to offer, otherwise I'd like to get $275 for the guitar and the hardshell case.
