Avenging Dentist posted:Rudeness aside, there's a nugget of insight in Chain Chomp's posts. Namely, that having a broader range of skills (especially some more on the "computer science" end of the scale, rather than just "computer programming") will help people to find longer-term, better-paying, and overall more satisfying work. Aven, I don't think you're being sufficiently productive.

He seemed like a great developer, but after paying and working with him for a few weeks, he disappeared for months. I was forced to find another developer to re-do pretty much everything he did. This cost a significant amount of development time, a good amount of money, and I was never able to get reimbursed for what I paid him. I recommend you do not contact or hire him to do any development work. I apologize if this post is inappropriate for this thread.

Is there anyone that can do this for me?quote:Is there anyway to have a drop down menu list all the security groups in a particular LDAP OU? And further, is it possible to have a drop down list that lists all the user accounts that have a "memberOf" attribute matching a particular group name? Say, "Approving Managers" is an LDAP group, and I want the drop down list each member of that group. Even better would be if it could list by displayName and the key was actually the mail attribute. I've done this before manually but it's been a while and even if I could remember how to code this up I would have no idea how to integrate with WebForm.

My company is looking for a bunch of great developers at all levels of experience from just graduated on up. We are a consultancy specializing in secure development, security assessments and training. Most of our work (about 90%) is in .NET or Java, but we have a need of a wide range of experience including Python, Ruby, Groovy, etc. If you've ever wanted to hack poo poo for a living or just develop cool new applications, you can do both with us. We are located in San Antonio, TX and this would be an on-site position. I'm happy to go into specifics with anyone that is interested, just PM me. Working at a place where the devs are the profit center is awesome and you can hang with a couple goons as well. Here is the link to apply: http://hire.jobvite.com/j/?cj=oD1fVfwy&s=jraim You can also email me at jarret AT denimgroup DOT com. I'm a lead developer here so I should be able to help you out. Our somewhat lame website is at http://www.denimgroup.com but don't let that fool you, we kick rear end .

Posting this one (sort of) again: I'm currently hiring a (possibly 2-3) junior-to-mid level PHP/web developers to work on my team writing and/or expanding current business applications (billing systems, CRM-type systems, etc). Junior meaning at least 1 year of real-world development experience with PHP/MySQL. The company is also (tentatively) looking for a full-time FreeSWITCH person - with some OpenSER/OpenSIPS work thrown in there as well. We're also looking for (also tentatively) someone to work with VoIP devices. Currently we're using Polycom, snom and Audiocodes phones and gateways, but there's always room for more. This would be mostly working towards writing scripts for mass provisioning of said devices. All jobs are full time, in-office jobs in Sarasota, FL. No moving assistance for the web job(s), but if you've got actual FreeSWITCH experience in a production environment we can probably work something out there. PM me or email wstuph at gmail if interested in talking about any of the positions (though I'll probably send the FreeSWITCH or devices people over quickly to the telephony team if you seem reasonable). I can also put you in touch w/ the support department head if you're interested in that route. VoIP company, you'll learn lots of networking/SIP debugging stuff pretty quickly. Truthfully, if you're smart and willing to learn, we've got jobs basically everywhere across the board (sales, accounting, development, support, marketing, shipping) here. We're a startup in a growth phase and need smart people quickly.

It might be wise to contact your web-host to ensure compatibility first before hiring someone to tell you the same thing.

Looking for Developers Location: Austin, TX Languages: Python, PHP Frameworks: Django, Pylons, Flask/Werkzeug Platforms: Linux, Windows Contact: alex.vidal@gmail.com My boss told me to hire a few more developers. We're a home security company located in Round Rock, TX (just north of Austin, TX). I interviewed LOLLERZ already, and he seemed pretty interested, although he got a job at Amazon. So! Currently, we're only looking for full-time on-site developers, but we are willing to pay you to relocate. We're looking for 2 or 3 developers, and are basically going to be splitting into two 'teams', with plenty of cross-training and integration. Some of the stuff we're working on includes completed redoing our corporate website as well as some other cool stuff. There's no red tape and very little bureaucracy. We can use whatever technologies we want to get the job done. There's 5 of us atm (2 designers, 3 developers) and it's a very very relaxed atmosphere.
