So (late game spoilers) Dutch is dead and I'm a farmer now. I decided to go to Blackwater and see if there was anything to throw a loving knife at in the building where you get the "R" missions. I sort of got the glitch to work on PS3! I only flew up about 5 or 6 stories, though. I didn't quite get the height in the video you made. Solly, try doing it with dynamite. For some reason I couldn't get it to work unless I was wielding dynamite. I find that triggering the glitch is inconsistent at times, but I can confirm that aiming increases the altitude that you'll reach (longer you hold the aim button, the higher you'll climb). I tend to attach to the logs, go all the way to the right, and then just repeatedly tap the attach to cover in differing frequencies until I launch.

So today i decided id go to single player to see people get ran over by a train like always. i grabbed some hooker nobody noticed and drove her away from town where a decided id throw on the track and wait like always. I hear the train coming and cant wait to see her guts go flying! Little did i know i see only 10 feet away an intersection for horses and waggons to cross. Seeing the train get closer i get excited to see her die. Little did i know a man on a wagon comes out of the blue and fails to stop intime before the train violently tosses the wagon and kills everything. As the wagon is flying out of control in the hookers direction, It hits her knocking her off the track by a few inches to where she couldnt get ran over, im in shock at the result. upset as i am i decide to leave her where only 15 seconds after a pack of wolves rip her to shreds while she was still tied up. I got off my horse and he tripped and fell and rolled out of the small crack we got stuck in and died from falling. I also got hit by the train the Mexicans tried to rob and got stuck under it, tumbling under the train for like 5 minutes screaming the whole time until it reached the bridge and blew up.

Blaargh I just spent all day finishing the story because I expected it to end several hours before it did. They really draw it out. Hell, all of Mexico was kinda unnecessary. Going to have a nap after I finish this post. But most amazing video game experience ever. Too buggy, and too long, but you can't beat the writing/use of music/graphic touches. I never thought I'd even like a Western game. I played "Gun" for about 20 minutes and never touched Revolver. But this one really sucked me in, and as a non-American, helped me understand the roots of the current southern US attitudes towards things like government and gun control (even though I am in British Columbia which was even more "wild west" in 1911).

Not sure why you said that or what tone you meant it in, but I think the lawless, structureless society of the west not that long ago has more to do with current cultural differences than the civil war. The civil war was a result of those cultural differences, not the cause.

The only bugs I have had so far were riding the lift down into the mines at Gaptooth Breach - John fell on his back and wiggled around grunting all the way down. I guess the game thought he was falling but it seemed like maybe he had ants in his pants. The second bug occurred when I jumped off a train and fell through the world. That one required a reload. I'm hoping it won't degenerate into more and more serious bugs but maybe they'll be hilarious at least.

I love the random fuckery that happens in this game. I'm trying to get the "Bearly Legal" achievement in Tall Trees when this guy rides up to me shouting, "Haaaalp! My wife's been kidnapped by bandits! They're hol---" Cue two grizzlies sideswiping the horse while a bobcat runs down and finishes of the guy. I promptly got on my horse and hightailed the hell out of there, laughing the whole way. Also, anyone else cheer during 'During an Appointed Time' that Luisa gets perforated? One time I was getting the treasure to the north of chuparosa, then I went to the town. once inside the town I strolled around, then jumped up on a wall. Cue john teleporting like a mile away and innocuously climbing up a really low-res wall right next to the treasure. Like he moved through all the scenery really fast and the climbing animation kept playing except I was in the middle of a really low-res area now and was all the poo poo. It took it like a solid minute to stream all the terrain. I don't think I've ever seen a bug in this game that didn't please me greatly.

Yeah I had the same thing happen: They all go "You've got experience setting stuff up like this right? Of course you do, now do it!" So I just kinda guessed where to set the explosives. I was waiting for the people in the back to go over the first one, and then I could go BOOM BOOM BOOM and maybe get all of them. Of course Luisa flipped out, told me I blew it, and everyone fired. Thanks a lot. Apparently you need to start blowing up once the first people go over the first one and the way I had it set up made the rest of the explosives useless if I did that.

It's funny, because I had the explosives set like that on the side of the road, in one long line. I waited for everyone to file past, then set them all off. Only a couple guys were left, so I cleaned up and completed the mission just fine.
