I really doubt they will make zombies head shot only. Best way to kill them maybe, but not the only way.

I finally passed through legendary yesterday. I figured I had done most of what I wanted to do, so being reset wouldn't be a big deal. Then I decided to start the advanced co-op missions and saw No Holds Barred as a class option. I then noticed I only had the cattleman revolver because I wanted that 10 gamerscore.

Apparently you can preview Undead Nightmare if you're at New York Comic-Con this weekend: http://kotaku.com/5658629/ive-re+killed-zombies-in-red-dead-redemptions-undead-nightmare I can't even get a full game of poker anymore to TRY for the achievement, and Liar's Dice is full of people who call Spot On 90% of the time and end up getting it right at least once, meaning everyone else loses a die so that achievement's basically down the shitter as well. Sigh.

The guy next to you can make a bid and the guy next to him can call spot on and if he's right, you lose a die without ever having the action even reach you.

I'm almost done with the single player story and I really like it a lot, but wow does it drag on forever. That is a weird complaint though considering the whole thing is really well done. It's like the game technically could have ended about 5 hours sooner but on the other hand i'm so glad its still going because even though its dragging on for a real long time, where is left to do is still excellent.

It really does feel like there are 5 spots where the game could have ended. While I don't really mind it after beating the game completely, during my first play through it felt like it was never going to end.

I found the Mexico section to be the most tedious, only because it seemed like a crummy segue from a really great plot. I don't want to say it was filler because I know stylistically what they were trying to accomplish, I just found myself wishing it would go faster. quote:That's one thing that sucks about liar's dice. Exactly, and I think people are just spamming Spot On to try to get the achievement, although it does make sense to try to hit it occasionally because if you're right it's the most effective way to grind all of your opponents down at once.

I ran through Mexico again trying to keep a "pre-endgame" save and it was honestly the "worst" part, but in no way is it bad. The atmosphere, the script, the music are all wonderful, it just felt like the most brown and washed out portion of the game, because West Elizabeth and even New Austin are much more prettier in its scenery. I really wish WE had not so suspenseful music all the time.

I've downloaded a couple of free DLCs but never purchased any for any game, like Mass Effect 1/2 and Saints Row 1/2. They usually sound lackluster but this one appeals to me. Hope it doesn't cost too much.

Even though the general plot has been done to death I thought the characters were more than engaging enough to hold my interest. I actually really liked that part. Though maybe it was because I got the feeling of impending doom, though I hoped it was going to end up a happy ending On that note: When can we go spoiler-free?

I think from here on out if I see a Greenhorn without a mic I'm going to shoot them on sight. I'm tired of TK'ers, especially when they show up just as I've started a mission.

Played the demo of the zombie stuff they had going at NYCC today. Pretty simple stuff, just a single mission, set in a graveyard. (Coot's Chapel, I think?) You had to go around burning coffins while infinite zombies spawned. Once you'd burned them all, Peter Turner rose from his grave and you had to clear out the rest of the zombies. It seemed like they took some inspiration from L4D since some of the zombies are slightly different from the others, though not quite to the same extent as L4D's special infected. One was on all fours and ran faster than the others, one was kind of a big chunky guy and knocked you down when he hit you, and I swear I saw one spit some glowing green poo poo at me. The normal ones seemed tuned pretty good, too. They moved kind of somewhere between a walk and a run, so you could outrun them if you turned and made a break for it, but they'll catch up to you as you aim and backpedal. They only seemed but so dangerous when they got to you, though. If they caught you up you tended to execute attack them before they could hit you. Someone asked if you had to use headshots to kill them, and it seemed like while you didn't have to, it was a very good idea. Body shots would knock them down, but it seemed like they could take a good bit more damage than a normal human there. They didn't go much into the story behind it, just that it's set sometime during the time towards the end of the game when you go back to the ranch with your wife and son, which was supposed to be about 3 months long in-story. Then suddenly, zombies. I hadn't really followed the specifics of the DLC too much, but I'm totally there. RDR's shooting controls are really good and fit with zombie hordes great.

Man I'm kinda pissed off that I was hesitant about RDR because of the overhyping of GTA 4. I don't think I've had this much fun with a game in a long time and I've only just completed Pike Basin Justice. Whoever said playing without using fast travel was right, I spend way too much time just dicking around Armadillo and McFarlane Ranch.

Rockstar San Diego did a phenomenal job with the ambience and random events. There's always poo poo to do, the trip's always a little different than last time, and it looks and sounds great the entire time. That and riding a horse has a good feel to it. I went back to Assassin's Creed II the other day and Christ, the horseriding in that game is awful.

No it isn't, it's jusr RDR's horse controls are so much better, but they work well enough in AC2, considering it's more or less an after thought other than to help reach vantage points.

I get why AC2's horse controls are basic. They're not important enough to spend a bunch of development time on perfecting, as opposed to RDR where a horse is vital. I'm glad Ubi Montreal focused more on Ezio's movements; they're generally on point. But it's not the horse controls that bother me. It's that the walk is too slow, the trot has little purpose, and the gallop is stiff and jerky. Riding just feels better in RDR. Regardless of the reasons why they are as they are, it's simply hard for me to go back to AC2's riding mechanics.
