The only reason I'd want a hard copy of Undead Nightmare and/or and "Episodes from Red Dead Redemption" thing is that I have an old, old 360 and a 15gb hard drive which is already half full with Dead Rising 2. I guess I need to invest in one of those slim models with 250gb built in, just to hold all the DLC that's all the rage now.

I mean, what's the total amount of space that all of Red Dead Redemption's DLCs take up now? Something like 20gb?

gently caress, I downloaded the two pre order costumes last night and messed around for a while. I start up my xbox today to get the requirements for the costumes and the game won't let me get out of Blackwater. When I go past the church the framerate slows down to slide show speed and I go through the hill. I can't turn around, call my horse or fire my gun. I tried using the fast travel but I get sent out to a brown hell that used to be Armadillo.

Has this happened to anyone else? The game worked fine last night and the disk looks fine. It's not a problem with the Xbox because I played Reach for an hour or so when I first noticed the game didn't work.

I really hope I can get it fixed before UN comes out. :(

Is it really impossible to kill zombies without headshots and explosions? I mean, it's not like I body shot bears and bandits all that often (and hopefully, the Legend of the West perk carries over), but if you're really in a rush to kill zombs, maybe they could take just extra punishment instead of infinite punishment. Ah, who knows.

:siren: :zombie: New info on Undead Nightmare, don't think its been posted yet. :zombie: :siren:

Camping is no longer available, and the only way to save is to clear out a town of zombies to earn the safe house. Survivor rescue missions replace bounty missions for extra playtime.

Four horses of the Apocalypse confirmed as mythical creatures, each one having a special ability. War can set zombies on fire with its hooves, Pestilence and Famine have infinite stamina, and Death can explode zombie heads.

New weapons include, holy water bombs, zombie bait with an exploding variant, and the Blunderbuss uses zombie parts for ammo.

Oct 26 can't come fast enough.

To sum up:

--You can break zombie horses that have special powers

--New weapons

--New outfits

--Singleplayer story missions (five to six hours worth)

--New 'hideouts' to an extent (that have save points and zombies to be cleared)

--a brand new area that nobody has said anything about

--some extra multiplayer skins

This is a lot for $10. October 26th can't come soon enough and this is awesome.

Nowhere near. Even if you installed the game to your hard drive, the DLCs have either been a few megabytes or a few hundred megabytes. Nothing so far as topped a gig if memory serves.

According to Kotaku, if you're riding around on a regular horse and it dies (gets shot/attacked by wolves/eaten by bear), if you whistle, it'll get back up zombified.

No it's a separate launch option from the main menu.

However it takes place like 80% through the story, so you might want to finish the campaign first.

I was down in Mexico yesterday looking for a cougar and I came across a guy leading a donkey down the road. I wanted a free donkey so i jumped on and the guy got pissed. he threw me off and then jumped on his donkey to ride off into the sunset, but he was riding it underneath the donkey. Like imagine someone's saddle slips and slides down to the donkey's belly with him still attached.

Confused, I chased them down and tried to lasso the donkey, but my lasso ended up pulling the guy off the donkey and that was the end of the weirdness.

Locked & frozen, have to restart my PS3.

Just deleted my last save file and it seems to be working now in SP, so maybe the save was corrupted because of uninstalling and reinstalling of DLC and trying to play it without some it previously had.

Now I have to do all the tomahawk and explosive rifle challenges again.

A question about Newspapers, from reading the RDR wiki I know the articles fill in events based on your actions and other stuff that's going on in New Austin. Also from what I gathered it's a way for Rockstar to announce DLC, but it also mentions ambient events. I'm assuming these are the equivalent of side quests and not DLC.

For example, the first paper you can pick up has an article about strange happenings going on in Tumbleweed. Am I correct in thinking that this has something to do with a sidequest or are the articles purely flavor?

Hm. Well, it seems like you've since figured out how to circumvent the issue by using an alternate save (thus indicating your save was corrupted some how), but I've heard others report that deleting the game (NOT your saves) and reinstalling it + patches has resolved a few similar issues for people. Might be worth considering, although it does sound like it was a corrupted save (making the point in keeping RDR Saves and deleting the Game info moot :shobon:) Whatevs, hopefully you've resolved it since.

God damnit. I'm trying to get my Savvy Merchant outfit unlocked, and the only thing left is $1000 in gambling. I realize that FFF is the fastest way to win the money, but I can't for the loving life of my maintain enough coordination for the four-cycle pattern @ $100 a pop. loving that up is digging me a deeper gambling hole every time. Is there any easier way to get this done in a somewhat timely fashion (in otherwords, NOT high stakes poker?) It's really pissing me off that I keep botching the patterns in FFF. The only times I win it max bet/pattern is when I somehow go on autopilot, but then the second I think about it I gently caress it up. It's really frustrating, because FFF is clearly the fastest way. Any tips?

I don't get it either, I've never been good at pattern-response games like RDR: FFF, Guitar Hero and it's ilk, DDR, etc. But I'm am absolute god at games where I'm coordinated on the fly - Like in a shooter, I'll be strategically timed and coordinated enough to kill groups of people in seconds via managing weapon switches+explosives flawlessly, like my mind is reading the changing situation and performing perfect hand-eye coordination in my controls, but when it comes to a solid pattern that I have to follow, I always gently caress it up ADHD style and my autopilot doesn't work :( It literally feels like if I stare off in the screen I'll win FFF, but the very split second my mind starts paying attention or otherwise thinking about the task at hand I gently caress it up. Couple that with a little bit of Inception mindfuck ala "If I tell you not to think about an elephant, what do you do? You think about the loving elephant."

It really is incredibly frustrating.

I noticed this weird focus thing back when Gran Turismo 2 first came out on PS1. I would do the endurance races of like 500 laps and poo poo (talking about racing mindlessly for at least an hour straight), and if I payed too much attention to it, I would wreck and botch crucial turns, and all kinds of poo poo. So I would literally start an endurance race and call my girlfriend on the phone. That way I could entirely pay attention to the conversation at hand, and it was like I would race on autopilot. I absolutely shattered records in that game by not paying attention. What is this, whatever it is, called? It has to be something. It's a blessing and a curse :(

e: I realize I got off on a tangent, but if you respond to me please don't forget to suggest me some tips about the $1000 Savvy Merchant challenge :shobon:
