Everybody shut the gently caress up and pay attention. The masters are back. Loops every hour, on the hour. Catch it in progress right now or wait for the next go-around. From the sound of it, new 24-hour mixes for 7 weeks, starting Monday, until there's enough to loop indefinitely for a week.

The Wugazi record is out and, not having listened to a lot of Wu-Tang or Fugazi, I thought it was great. Of course, I'm genetically disposed to like anything Doomtree touches...

I was just listening through Girl Talk's All Day again, and holy poo poo that mashup of Phoenix - 1901 and Ludacris - How Low is just incredible. I'm not a huge fan of either Phoenix or Ludacris, but the end result is just I thought at the time and still think that All Day is his strongest album. There's so many great little moments on the album, and unlike Feed the Animals or Night Ripper you actually get a chance to enjoy them a little more.

Hood Internet's Trillwave part 2 is coming out tomorrow if their twitter is to be believed. Part 1 was an awesome mix of mostly rap over chillwave beats. All of their older mixtapes are there too: http://www.thehoodinternet.com/ I'm also amending this because it's all kinds of great: http://soundcloud.com/hoodinternet/ellie-pcp-yeezy theflyingexecutive fucked around with this message at 17:35 on Jul 26, 2011 |

So Girl Talk produced this track - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMWBHlsBHF8 (also linked this in nmd raps) Its not a mashup so my apologies for that, but its girl talk nonetheless. Im not aware of other non-mashupesque tracks of girltalk, a new direction for him maybe like milkman?

That's right up there with E-603's mashup of Just Dance and Kids (Kids is one of those songs that every mashup artist uses at least once, because it's so drat awesome), and the very beginning of Algorithms with gently caress You and Overnight Celebrity.

I've been really enjoying this album today: http://www.whatthemashup.com/albums/lonely-bee-dance-club/ http://graycat.bandcamp.com/ quote:This is not your typical mashup album. No obnoxious mainstream pop here. Composed of mostly rap acapellas over trip-hop and dubstep, Lonely Bee Dance Club is a refreshing change from a lot of the mashup albums out there today. I have nothing against said mainstream pop, but the result is a really chill album with a very different sample set and feel than most other mashups, and the novelty is interesting.

^Holy balls. I might have to drive up from Arkadelphia for that (just Girl Talk, gently caress The Fray). I know it's geared more towards freshmen (and UAFS students), but do they check for student ids? I know at HSU's open air events like that (which are never that loving cool), they don't bother checking and we get a lot of random people from the town at our "Movie on the Quad" nights. Basically, is it worth the drive or will I get turned away?

I've been trying to figure out what this Kanye West sample at around 0:52 in Milkman's Silhouette ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwRS-1kwg2E ) is, but apparently my google technique needs some work. The line I'm interested in is something like "No interview with the NME cause I'll only make enemy, no Q&A with the Q today 'cause I really don't have good to say" Any help would be really appreciated.

Those lyrics sound familiar; I think that sample is also used in the Hood Internet's "Shut Up, American Boy". Hope that helps. Looks like the Estelle song features Mr. West.

'The New Workout' does not contain the line "No interview with the NME cause I'll only make enemy, no Q&A with the Q today 'cause I really don't have good to say" which is what he is interested in.

I've been looking for 6 months! I don't know if it exists or if he even released 'separate tracks' beyond the legend of Curtis (the 50c/ Zelda sample) and one other. They weren't just slices out of the bangfest mix either. If it exists, youre best asking him on twitter.com/ludachrist.
