I don't remember if I read this in the last AP thread (when I was debating buying it) or in the Steam thread when AP went on sale for the summer sale, but I definitely remember some talk of how to totally cheese Chain Shot so that you had no cool down time... is this real, or is it no longer valid/patched out/etc? While I am doing fine in the game, I'd love to totally break the system on a subsequent play-through, perhaps as a god-like Thorton. Also I need to find a way to make my character not always tend towards the "Professional" response.

The bug was chain shot, line up (allowed shots - 1) cancel chain shot, they still go off. Frankly, Chain Shot is so powerful anyway that it's a bit like turning on God mode and then using the console to kill anything just in case.

Jesus, this game just keeps finding ways to impress and surprise me. Unbelievable. So you can turn Marburg against Parker...or Parker against Marburg. Wow. The dev team must have been CRAZY good at developing all possible outcomes. I guess if the game's flaws had been better ironed out this would have been GOTY for sure, but as it is, I still love the hell out of the thing. Rabbit Hill posted:Someone in the old thread posted about getting this exchange with Marburg after a game of mostly professional dialogue options (I can't find it now to quote exactly) -- I just recently came across this line. (end of Rome stuff) I got this from going for the bombs in the museum instead of Madison. Not sure how much is necessary to trigger it besides picking the first Agressive dialogue choice when Marburg shoots Madison. I had Thorton act pretty much like a consummate professional up until that point. Marburg really liked Thorton too. Thorton also had high rep with Madison. Here's how I remember the conversation going. (Marburg shoots Madison) Marburg: You brought it on her. Anger Response: You psychopathic SON OF A BITCH! Marburg: Hardly. You blame me? You made the choice. Thorton: She wanted to stop you from killing me and bombing a museum full of people. You're a dead man. Marburg: We both already are... in our own way. I have seen Mike explain Deus Vult and why Marburg chose the Museum if you go to save Madison instead of the stopping the bombing.

More Rome weirdness I don't understand: I went through the stuff with Madison in what I thought was the same manner as before, just remembering to get her last piece of intel so I could nab her secret fact. However, after the warehouse mission, rather than finding her asleep for us to talk, she was in the living room and sounded kind of terse with me--"ANOTHER shootout?"--even though I wasn't any more violent this time than last; though this time I was not an ally with Surkov so the Russians had to die. Her reputation with me is 2 (liked), so is that just too low to trigger the right conversation?

This Game, I just reached ROME SPOILERS the gameroom in the Villa, and when Madison mentioned it was the game room Mike muttered that he hoped it wasn't like Brayko's. Such a silly little thing but I keep noticing more and more touches like that that make me adore this game a ton. Also veteran owns so much after the recruit playthrough, kicking rear end and taking names.

I'm just finishing up Taipei, my last hub, on my hard run and, upon checking my achievement list, saw that the 360 has NO achievement for hard mode. gently caress, you guys weren't kidding about how difficult the minigames were on this mode. I have both integrated circuitry mods and the second difficulty reduction skill for the minigames and I still have to use emps! On normal, even without sabotage or mods I only had to use EMPS if I didn't feel like waiting a few seconds to hack or whatever.
