Oh, Dave's fine talking about anything. Sometimes he might get caught up on something, but it's not an idiotic thing that Bryan starts his rage gimmick up on. Bryan knows less than half of the PSP.

James Storm likes Beer.
Robert Roode likes money.
James Storm and Robert Roode become Beer Money.

Robert Roode taught James Storm that to buy as much beer as he desires, he needs money.
James Storm taught Robert Roode that if you have a beer once in a while, it's easier to relax and focus on being a great wrestler.

Ergo, when James Storm is not with Robert Roode, he still loves money. It buys him beer.

He's charging around $15 less for a full year subscription than a subscription for a year on a month-by-month basis.

It's $11 a month or $120 a year. You save $12 by paying for a year.

It was when the cost of a month subscription was $9.99 and the price of the full year subscription was still like $120.99. I wanted to get a full year subscription at the time but saw that I wouldn't be saving any money-- but actually losing a dollar. There was even a thread about it on the f4w board with some posters refusing to buy the year subscription out of principal. If you look on the board I'm sure the thread is still there with Bryan's response.

A dollar a month isn't a substantial saving. By comparison Autosport is 8.60 a month, 74 dollars a year, which is about 30 dollars savings?

It's actually more like 60-70%, but even if it were 90%, it wouldn't mean that the human body was massively affected by tidal forces from the moon, as Shane was saying.

Dave was absolutely swamped after the Benoit murders and had no time for anything for months. At some point the idea came up, and then in early 2008 they began seriously discussing it. The why seems to be mostly just a way to streamline their business (maybe mostly Dave's) and save some time as much as mutual advantage and how the merger would enhance both of their products. Every time it comes up Dave talks about how busy and stressed he was prior to it and how he couldn't keep that pace up.

Dave & Bryan had been working together for ages before the merger anyway. They had a radio show together that started in 1999, plus Dave would be on Bryan's podcasts all the time.

The Wrestling Observer didn't really have an online presence, so it made sense for Dave to merge his newsletter with Bryan's website & podcasts. The two of them together would be a stronger opponent to the Torch and whatever else is considered their competitors.

Is it your job to post the most incorrect statements you can? If you would listen to Dave you would know he loves wrestling more than MMA and possibly more than his family. The guy spends way more time talking about wrestling, goes on much longer tangents about wrestling and covers wrestling far more than MMA.

Yeah Dave loves wrestling, he is just not as happy with what the WWE has done with it.

He casually mentioned watching the G-1 Climax a week ago, I don't think he'd be watching that stuff if he didn't care about wrestling anymore. He just doesn't talk about things like that because he is paid to talk about WWE, that's what the vast majority of his audience wants.

This is a man who had a free weekend and spent it studying the history of the NWA champions and their title contenders from the 1950s to the 1970s. Dave leave prowrestling for mma..hah.

Also you should have said it would happen when the Japanese women's division becomes better than any men's division in the world, that would be much more of a 'Dave Meltzer' thing than "The Ric Flair of MMA".

I think part of the problem Dave has is that the things he says are reported elsewhere, and often reported wrong. So he is probably worried that DirtSheetScoopz.com or something will put up a headline that reads "UFC in talks with Mike Tyson*" *as reported by Dave Meltzer

Dave's gimmick is that he takes all jokes and joke questions deadly serious on the radio shows while Bryan plays the whacky guy, it's been that way since the merger. It isn't that he just doesn't get humor as he has shown from some classic iceburns of posters on the F4W board.

I don't even think Dave is that down on wrestling right now. He likes something almost every show and has been thumbs up lately on a lot of PPVs people here mostly hated. There have been times just since I've been following that he's absolutely hated the WWE product from top to bottom. He's just harping on the fact that business is bad because, well, business is bad.
