I'm gonna be brave and post up a mix I've just done. For the longest time on Facebook I'd posted up track upon track for friends when it was suggested I should get some decks, a grand of so later I have a pair of CDJs and a mixer and intent to use. Sundays were always 'lazy' hence Lazy Sunday chilled tracks for people but now I mix them whenever I have time. 88h88: That mix was fun. Its nice to hear something other than dance music in this thread. I like that you didn't try to do too much with the blends. They were clean and had purpose. Sometimes newbies forget that at the end of the day you're just trying to get from A -> B. Keep using those ears and let the music speak for itself!

How did you get a pair of CDJs and a mixer for $1000, that's my only question. Pretty good set, nothing crazy, just some nice crowd pleasers. I enjoy that a lot more than someone trying to intentionally find the most obscure songs possible.

Ah, I'm in the UK where Pioneer 350s retail for £550 each or they'll do a 'deal' where you can buy a pair plus a mixer for just over £1000. I splashed out and got a 'posh' mixer or rather one that wasn't terrible quality with the 2 decks for £1070. Expensive game this....

Oh no doubt, they're great little bits of kit and I seriously doubt they'll hold me back from doing stuff. Even though they're the cheapest Pioneers they feel pretty solid, certainly far better quality than the majority of other CDJs on the market.
