A cycling set of completely stock cars - everyone is on the same foot, other than skill and track knowledge. In GISH a few nights ago we were doing that, just selecting a stock car for a track and everyone running with it. Was actually very fun.

I said come in! posted:I enjoyed playing with you guys on the rare times that I was able to. The multiplayer in GT5 bummed me out the most about that game, I had a lot of issues trying to play it online. Mic didn't work or cars would disappear so I didn't see the whole grid, or I just couldn't join the lobby ever for some random reason on Polyphony's end. If you still have your copy of GT5, you should check it out now that Spec 2.0 is out. Most of those issues are probably resolved. If there werent so drat many awesome games out right now, i'd probably get GT5 on the cheap so I could compare it to FM4. But right now, thats a very low priority.

Spec 2.0 needed to add a whole new career mode. My main complaint was the multiplayer. I'd been doing FM3 GTCC for over a year prior and expected seamless multiplayer like Forza. It wasn't there at all. I can't remember a 16 player race where everyone could see every car on track, speak to everyone else on their mic, or just connect at all. The actual driving was great but they put a lot of things in between you and fun.

It pretty much has to include the Aventador and Huayra right? I mean there's no reason to leave those two out except to whore out DLC later. Good thing I fell for it and bought the season pass.

Being in the back of a 16 man race is actually a lot of fun, if you can drive. Working your way up the ladder, passing dudes and waiting for them to make mistakes is more of what I envision "racing" to be, rather than an insane turn 1 pileup as everyone tries to win the race at the first corner. I can usually work my way up to 8th place no problem, and if there's a lot of wrecks I might even get to the podium. Finishing first was a lot more important in FM2 and FM3 because of the amount of credits awarded, but with the way FM4 throws money at you, it's really not that big a deal. You even get money for a DNF, which blew my mind the first time I saw that.

They should sneak in a 60's mini and a 60's vw into that 'worst car' pack. Because their stats look lovely on paper, but they're secretly the best cars ever made.

That emblem could be easy or fantastically difficult, depending on the requirements. If you only ever wanted it on a black background: easy. If you wanted it transparent so it would work on any car: horribly difficult.

I guess I haven't viewed any replays at all this time around, I should do that. Also, what black magic did you employ so you could increase the angle of the head tracking? With my settings, I can barely get the side view mirrors into view.

Maybe I've just watched too much Top Gear but supercars are where it's at for me. Mid-range cars are pretty cool and I've even had more fun than I thought I would racing slow-as-christmas modern hatchbacks and whatever, and I never really cared about the ultra-modern, track-only racecars much at all, but 458s, Zondas, Enzos, Ford GTs, Apollos, Veyrons, and Sesto Elementos (pushing it) and the kinds of ridiculous cars that you might actually see on the road beside your own car once in a blue moon (Sesto Elemento not included) and are the kinds of cars I'll spend all day long driving. Can't wait for a DLC pack of cars like those. GreatGreen fucked around with this message at 16:21 on Oct 26, 2011 |
