Season pass crew finally start breathing a sigh of relief That's a hell of a choice of cars there. I am genuinely terrified at the prospect of driving that Suzuki when I'm the only car on the track, never mind racing it. Plus: '77 RS1800? '81 Scirocco? Ahahah. I think it's safe to say this will save me from the clutches of Skyrim.

The only car in that pack I'm "eh" on is the RX8, but I've never liked that car anyway. The trackday GranTurismo looks pretty boss.

God drat that is an impressive lineup for the new pack. Especially pleased with the Mk II Escort (at last!). The Fiero and Maseratis are almost as good. Also I want to see more music cars dudes, keep it up!

I am going to secretly hope that the Fieros can be body kitted. It's an insane belief and they can't possibly do it, but it wouldn't really be a Fiero without a dozen insane body kits to pick from. I even remember when they were new and I was a kid, Popular Mechanics did a special article about the way the car was built and how it meant that we'd see a new proliferation of cars much like the various Beetle kits. Boy, were they ever right. Oh poo poo, Google Books is the most amazing thing ever. In light of my excitement for that article and the new Forza pack, here's photos of all the cars we'll be getting. 2011 Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 -- think of it as a better Pike's Peak Suzuki Escudo. 2011 Mazda RX-8 R3 -- probably the most meh car in this group. It's a good, competent car, just not a great one. 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor -- Insane. Utterly, balls out insane. It's an off-road truck designed to drive over the roughest terrain on the planet like it was a Sunday drive down the interstate. No idea how we'll use this in game, but drat it, I'm going to try to drive over everything. 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-396 -- don't know much about this one, but old SS Chevys are always a win in my book. Hope we get the optional tachometer. 1977 Ford Escort RS1800 -- A quintessential rally car. 1981 Volkswagen Scirocco S -- The epitome of "hot 80's hatch" 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Verde -- come on, it's the car from The Graduate. But it does have this nifty little badge that you only get if you buy this appearance pack. Contrary to what you might believe, none of the Quadrifoglio Verdes were offered in green. Red, black, or silver only. 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT -- You know it, you love it, even if you just love to hate it. I personally think they were fairly striking in this trim. Sadly, you rarely see them this way and under the skin, they're like everything GM made in the 80's -- poorly engineered, poorly put together crap. 2010 Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 -- Basically a faster, race prepped version of the GranTurismo. 1957 Maserati 300 S -- Speed and class.

What we really need is an off-road course to take the Ford Raptor and Monster Suzuki out on! I hope the Suzuki feels better to drive in Forza than it did in Dirt 3 - something about it always felt slightly weird there.

GodDAMN that Maserati GT4 is gloriously sexy. The GranTurismo, IMO, came out pretty lovely in A (or was it S?) class all race prepped. Just too heavy as a competitive sport coupe. It sounds like God though and you can get it in Matte Black I think the RX8, despite it's "MEH"ness will be a great rent-a-car racer. robotsinmyhead fucked around with this message at 11:01 on Nov 30, 2011 |

I am an RX8 fan, I even own one, but I do not think the addition of the R3 was really necessary. There wasnt a horsepower boost, maybe the suspension was slightly updated, it was mainly just a facelift, hardly needing to be inserted into the game. That being said I dont think it is a complete dud, and the pack as a whole looks really good.

I do think Turn 10 would do well to find the guys who did Rallisport Challenge 2, and use them to adapt the Forza engine to a rally game. And while they're working on that, hire a third crew to create a motorcycle sim as well. They've got a pretty incredible engine in their hands, it really seems like they're selling themselves short by only releasing one title.

What with the whole car club thing, the livery showoff aspect and the community idea in general you'd think a cruising game where you can set up impromptu races (preferably with self-defined checkpoints) would be a natural thing to flow from that.

Speaking of wide tires, I saw an actual Syclone on the road the other night. I swear I haven't seen one of those since the 90's, so it was a bit of a surprise to encounter it. Sadly it didn't look like the truck was being treated too well. The plastic trim had that horrible sun worn faded look, and the paint was a mess of spiderwebs from careless washing. At any rate, that little bastard has the widest tires I've ever seen on a truck. Two tires easily took up 1/3 the total width of the vehicle, probably a little more than that.

Being new to the car world and thus relatively shallow in how and why I appreciate cars, I find myself bewildered by the excitement for that Ford Escort. I am excited because y'all are excited, but I can't say I "get it". As further evidence of my naivety, I resume my anxious hope and waiting for a DLC pack that has a Plymouth Prowler in it. Quality of car unconsidered, I think they look neat and I want one.

It's a classic of rally racing, and one of those box cars that manage to look kinda awesome for people who are into that kind of thing. My "Favorites" category contains pretty much only such cars from '75 to '95 - the 131 Abarth, the Volvo 240, all the BMWs from that time, and so on. The only high powered sports car I drive regularly is the Zonda, but mainly because of its sound, I don't care for how that one looks either. Don't ask me why, that's just how it is
