Actually in that poster it looks more like he is shielding himself from an oncoming explosion instead of causing it.

I really like the poster for I Saw the Devil. Simple but unsettling. And the cover for The President's Last Bang looks so god drat sleek.

Gringo Heisenberg posted:I really like the poster for I Saw the Devil. Simple but unsettling. Yeah, that poster is fantastic. Shame about the movie though. (I hated it.) Speaking of South Korean movies, The Yellow Sea never had a good poster to begin with. (even though it's a great movie albeit with one of the least convincing car chase sequences I have ever seen) But this is just awful. Screencap and unnecessary name change included.:

Speaking of Oldboy, this is a pretty cool poster by Old Red Jallopy, I think. Reminds me of Kill Bill for some reason, though.

Speaking of name changes, guess how this movie was originally named: It's for the german release of Banlieue 13. Strangely enough it was first released under the original title, but once it went to DVD somebody had apparently decided that the current title was not "hip" enough or I don't know what the gently caress. Oh, also note the weird perspective and horrible lightning, and I'm pretty sure that there was never a single helicopter in the entire movie. Yeah he blocks a shitload of projectiles and stuff thrown at him from the other dude at the end of the movie and it looks just like whatever he's doing in the poster. No big explosions or flying cars at all though...

StickySweater posted:Have you seen Dark City? Legitimate question. Maybe I'm just willing to give it a pass because its desire to look "late 90s wicked cool" is done really well in the movie. I see what you mean though with video card font and flashy lights. Yeah I have, though admittedly not since the wicked cool late '90s. But still, the film was totally noir and that cover art totally isn't, it looks cheap and a little tacky. I like the city scape itself, but the fonts and the colour scheme are awful. Floaty heads don't have to be terrible when they're appropriate, but here it really solidified the 'computer parts box art' resemblance to me. The Triumphant posted:The DVD cover's really bad though I always used to laugh at this cover in the video store for how crummy it looked. Viggo looks like a Muppet.

Cause I can totally understand her not getting good roles considering she is the least funny part about the show and is just a huge downer in every scene she is in, she's like a second rate Lisa Simpson. What you're describing is more a problem with the character than the actress though. Then again, you might be right. It's been quite a while since I watched an episode of Modern Family. And to be honest there are a few other actors on that show I'd like to see more of anyway (Ty Burrell).
