So I got a call from the shop about my order of http://www.stranoparts.com/partdetails.php?PartID=822&CategoryID=225&ModelID=35 to let me know that my order would be delayed... ...because they are having a sale on that starting Thursday and didn't want to overcharge me. Pretty A+ customer service!

Thanks for that site they have the shocks I was looking at getting for the cheapest I have seen. I am unhappy with the suspension in my '89 mustang convertible. Right now it has BBK lowering springs and KYB GR2 shocks and struts. I like the look but those shocks and struts suck. Oh well at least they were cheap. I was looking at replacing them with Tokico HP "Blues". Any opinions on those? Other parts I am going to add - full length subframe connectors, strut tower brace, eibach swaybar set, upper and lower rear control arms and a k-member brace. I am hoping to tighten up the handling and eliminate my cowl rattle. It is a fair weather only, street car. It also has 255/40/17 Nitto 555s. Suggestions ?

Speaking of that Koni sale, it runs until the end of May. The guy's having some computer troubles with his website but hopefully they will be cleared up soon. I have Koni Sports on my '08 Bullitt on Steeda sport springs and it rides wonderfully, solid axle and all. Way more confidence inspiring on the track too.

Would there be any caveats or anything I'd have to look out for in a 2011 V6 coupe with a manual transmission? Just realizing I don't necessarily want a boring dadcar like an Accord or Altima for my next ride.

I would just make sure it wasn't in a wreck. Most 2011s used on the market have been salvaged somehow. You might look for new car incentives that could bring the price of a new one down very close to used.

Basically, he's asking $3200 for a '94 Mustang that has been modded. If you like his mods, offer him $2500 and work from there. If you don't like his mods there are thousands more out there.

Even though they're not as light as the Foxbodies, the prices are better. Sorta. Nicer Foxes go for more than 5, and this is actually one of the better price/condition post-Foxbody specimens out there.

Yep, Fox prices bottomed in the late '90s and have been going back up ever since. I still kick myself for passing on a black/black '87 coupe with the asking price of $2800. The interior needed new upholstery, but the body was straight and the paint was new. I got an '88 Chevy Corsica for my first car instead.

A bit wonky to set up even with the plug-and-play prewired harnesses. The idea I thought was that they blinked in order from shortest to longest (harness enters at the far end of the light) But on mine they were kind of mixed. Best tips for installation to save headache: Buy some extra bulbs before you start, they snap in place to the connectors and I ended up killing the elements for two of mine. Also test the firing order before putting it all back together. Don't be me and spend an hour and a trip to the store on a 20 minute job.

Please tell me I am not a flaming moron for wanting this http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/2875307552.html Looks like its in decent shape and if it drives as good as it looks we are in business. Yeah, I can imagine in stop and go traffic that would look absolutely ridiculous to everyone around you, though it isn't quite as bad as I thought it'd look. Wonder if you can make it so it's just the turn signals.

Header progress update! I've been travelling with work so I didn't get a chance to start tearing the car apart until last week. My knuckles are already desperate for relief. Looking towards the rear of the car. I'm leaving the OEM catback in so the headers and x pipe will bolt up to the factory connection here. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7209/6980452639_75a430a710_z.jpg This is the drivers side of the engine. You have to remove the steering shaft in order to slide the manifold out. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7045/6834323918_9f14c3a3e5_z.jpg The passenger side exhaust manifold. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7197/6834324278_0e3f0495ca_z.jpg The headers installed on the passenger side. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7039/6834323592_15cb62a16a_z.jpg

The 2012 invoice is $5000 off msrp, so that means you can likely call up costcoauto and get your 2013 for about $50,000. 0-60 numbers mean so little to me now, unless its a car like the GT-R with launch control you will almost never replicate the 0-60 numbers CONSISTENTLY unless you are a very very good driver. This car will struggle to put the power down if you do not launch perfectly. Hell, look at the tt-rs, 3300 pounds nd does 0-60 in 3.6s with 330hp? All due to launch control and gearing. Put a GT500 and a tt-rs on the same track and chances are a 650hp gt500 will beat the pants off of it.
