It's still hard to catch the back end breaking out, but I've gotten way better at it and it actually starts to feel appropriately difficult. On standard mode it's too easy I think, plus the cars just generally feel a bit... flat.

Not sure what their rationale was for setting the car up like that was, but they have a much wider array of tire and suspension options than we do in the game so it could have been motivated by some garage magic. And we have much more precise measurements in the game available to us. In Forza, keep the three bands of the tire temperature as even as possible, and you've got as much grip as you're going to get.

I have a feeling it was because the body has to stay standard so they couldnt just add wider fenders to accomodate the maximum amount of rubber possible, thats a fairly uneducated guess though. But if you look at the E36 it pretty much looks like a standard road car.  Wheras forza idk what the hell it does when it comes to that, in some cars the tyre sizes fitted would need the rears tubbing and in some cases the tyre would be coming into contact with the spring perch.

Okay, Tanz apparently doesn't care about the GTCC boards anymore, so I'm posting this here now. I'll try to have another 4-7 cars done by tomorrow. The lucky people now up are Tanz Commander/Fax Piss and Jabs. 63 of 82:  64 & 65 of 82: Brew Dog. Someone sent me a "bitchin' camaro" with this logo on the side. So I turned it black and blue.   66 of 82: Alitalia. It was only a matter of time, as I really do like this livery. Fun fact: I based this off that Fiat Abarth rally car, not the Lancia Stratos - I may still do that one.  67 of 82: Pirelli Rally. Now this is actually based on a Stratos.  68 of 82: Pibswasser German Pride. Jabs requested a fictional sponsor car, so I came up with this. And yes, there is a decal for "Patty O'Chair Irish Pub" on the front there.  The following cars are still available to pick from, as well:

The Ultima GTR is nuts. Full R1 tune, 2.20 final gear, no aero at all, it can top out at 270mph. Of course, it won't *turn* very well, but who cares?

I'm looking for a new wireless headset since the standard one that comes with the 360 seems to create problems when plugged into the Fanatec wheel. The MS ones all have pretty bad ratings on Amazon though, and I was wondering what people's opinions here are? Also, does anyone have one of those 5.1 headphones+headsets (Turtle Beach PX5 and the like)? Are those worth it? The MS official wireless headset is actually fine. I think early revisions had some issues with the "explosion of static" crap but they fixed them later on. Only time they have issues is when the battery gets low. The 5.1 headsets are pretty cool, I've used them for both xbox and pc gaming. It's hard to find one compatible with voice chat on both systems though. I had a triton set for a few years, eventually the hinge busted and I never got around to replacing them. The first few times you use them, you'll be all HOLY poo poo at how good the positional audio is. Eventually you acclimate to it though and it stops being so amazing.

I tend to only use it with the wheel as the mute button is a little annoying until you figure out to grasp the whole unit between your finger and thumb rather than trying to press the thing 5" into your brain to mute it as it seems at first, but the complaints on amazon that also made me hesitant turned out to not be applicable to the updated one.

However I'd buy some decent rechargeable batteries or spend the extra and get the new ones with the rechargeable pack in them. Battery life on the PX5's are about 10-11 hours with decent batteries, (generic bulk packs that's have a low milliamp hour rating get between 2-5 hours.) They are really comfy, don't pinch your head too much and have 8 seperate equaliser presets for both ps3 and 360 that you can change with a press of a button so you can setup different games depending on how their sound is mixed. (Plus you can download a shitload of pre made presets from the turtle beach website.) However don't expect the same experience as a proper surround setup that just can't be replicated with headphones.

Has anyone recived their unicorn for last months kott event yet? I swear I was in the top 1000 for that and I still havent got anything. Also the new one is with JPM but hes set a dirty lap, although it looks like a decent time. Edit: managed to add him as a favorite and his time is 1.32.574
