Think I'm going to make a Mentalist. Would Mana be a good all around spec for leveling with some bg pvp? It looks like fun.

Mana is great in a group for leveling and the dots are pretty powerful in the lower level BGs. The only problem you'll run into is if you want to do some solo PvE grinding.

Light is easier to grind with but mana isn't impossible. Dot, Dot, Stun, Nuke, Nuke. Baseline nuke will have alot of variance but if the dots stuck then it wont matter.

I leveled my ment as mentalism spec the entire way. The nuke is nice (dd with heal effect), the baseline dot you get will tick for good amounts, and a long duration single target mez + decent heals make it fun to do smallman pvp in the leveling BGs.

So I wanted to level a shaman buffbot for my skald and warrior. I decided that the best way to do that was to level a berserker with it. However, I quickly found out that leveling without skald speed is loving awful. So I decided to make a third account for a skaldbot. One lazy sunday later and my fourth, fifth, and sixth characters hit level 50.  e: Glass quests with three accounts is basically a infinite money hack. The way you should be doing it, is having one dude sit at the quest giver, while the other two pwn his exp bar, then you trade places.

I don't think you can do this anymore, they hotfixed a range into quests, unless they took it back out. I know you can't level a bot by parking it at the keep in a BG and grouping with it anymore, and my bot wasn't getting credit for green glades stuff when I had it sitting at haven. edit: From 3/5 on the herald quote:A change has been made to the Battleground and new Atlantean Glass quests. Credit for these quests is now only granted in the area around the monster spawns.

Supposedly the limited the range on stuff, but the other week after the hotfix I was able to help someone get credit for Molvik XP quests by having them stand in the PK while I plinked arawns on my ranger. It seems to be hit or miss.

The way we used to level up alts was to get a couple rangers, buff bot, then whatever we were PLing, then head over to Typhon's Reach and just go around a huge circle starting near the temple, and working around the south-western most part of the zone. Would take us a couple of hours to get them to mid-40s, then run the Wisps quest to get to 49, then Commander quests to squeeze out to 50.

How bad are the earlier glass quests? (The ones in Oceanus I think?) If they level you even remotely as well as the ones that are level 45+ you could get out of the Molvik bracket pretty easily.

I don't really remember the specifics, but way too much effort for little XP. Molvik actually is pretty fast if you get a FG with speed - Lone or smallman gankers leave you alone, and if you meet another FG, hey, you had a 8v8 fight, great!

The level 30 glass quests can be good for a headstart on glass or if Molvik is packed and you get get ganked just trying to suicide run the tower quest. It has a quest where you just swim in the ocean East of the haven and touch treasure chests over and over again. The only problem is it/they stay at level 30 until 40, so in the time it took for my 38 chanter to get to 40 my bard who was on the level 40 quests got from 40 to 44.

So I haven't really played much in the last week and a half or so and I think I might be done for a bit. I'm going to keep the gear I have for my characters, but if anyone wants a bit of plat (I actually have no idea how much I still have on Hib, probably 30?) let me know. Or I can just give it to the waffleses and let them dole it out and/or use it for people that need it.

Could someone explain the servers part ? It says everyone plays on the Ywain servers, are they connected ? If you create a character on ywain 2 you can play with players on ywain 1 to 6 ? Only in instances or out in the world too ? Or is the server simply the server you log in through, but every server is connected to the same gameworld? Which server should i pick to play with goons ?

Ywain1 is very full and the lots are expensive (if you can find a house that has been repossessed) whereas Ywain4, 6, and I think 9 are pretty empty. When not in housing, you are in the same shared area as everyone else. Guild house is on Ywain6 so it makes it convenient to port to/from your house if you also pick 6 ps. jeahs is helping with his staff!!
