And apparently it's just Joe and Duncan on tomorrow's podcast so I'm guessing he's taking a much needed break.

He should be depressed. The only reason people tolerate him is because of his relationship with Joe and his podcast. If that's over then I really don't know what's left for Brian.

He's almost setting himself up to be the next Yolanda Saldívar, tho Joe would just chew up and spit out the bullet or he'd miss from being so high on Adderall (and all during the Alpha Brain commercial, which Joe would still get through uninterrupted).

I just hope with him gone for the time being I can finally get my Jay Mohr episode :unsmith:

That's some interesting wording, it seems like he's moving away from the Deathsquad name entirely.

I guess he solved that problem.

No.

The greatest moment in my life was realizing that I didn't need a belt to be happy.
I suppose when everything blows over in a few weeks things will return to normalcy. But things must be awkward as hell between Brian and Joe right now. It kind of sucks too, since it really wasn't that long ago when the podcast was just two friends hanging out and messing around with ustream effects.

:woop: loving finally! Hopefully this means much less of or no more redban. I feel bad for the guy as he's not always a twat, but when he starts getting all pouty over Rogan telling him off or when he freaks out because he thinks people are attacking him it's infuriating. He's really brought it on himself if Joe's looking to phase him out, hopefully he'll take it as a chance take a look at himself and maybe grow up a little.

Back when I posted on Rogan's forum(before I realized most of its userbase were idiots), Rogan responded to my post asking about getting Henry Rollins on the podcast. He stated he thinks Henry is a really interesting dude, would love to have him on the podcast, and once he gets the new studio built he'd start chasing after getting him on.

So Rogan tweeting that makes me happy. Hope he doesn't forget about it as that would easily be Rogan's best podcast.

Yeah he tweeted 2 days ago that he wouldn't be on the next 2 JRE's. One of those was Duncan, so that makes sense. Perhaps Joe really his thought he needed a little break.

I hope he's back though, yes he's a man child but when Joe and Duncan are jerking off about the multiverse, Brian's there to land the spaceship at an Olive Garden.

It's not like I don't think his spot isn't nessecary, it's just I don't find him funny. I don't hate him or anything, I just don't find awkward interruptions, buttholes and Olive Garden funny. I like Brian in small doses. He balances Joe out well. Sometimes Joe Rogan gets into too much of a jerkoff fest with his pseudo-intellectual babble and Redban brings him back down to reality with his manchild silliness. But I think a lot of the most hilarious moments between him and Joe Rogan are unintentional.

People are under a lot of stress, Bradley.
I just don't think Brian should be on air. He's not funny, entertaining, charismatic, articulate, etc. I don't even mean that as an insult, since the vast majority of people aren't those things either. Up until the podcast, Brian was pretty much just a behind-the-scenes guy with Joe. When Joe would go on Opie and Anthony, Brian was always there, just never on air (because he isn't funny. There's a reason Ari would go on air when he was with Joe and not Brian). Joe needed someone to talk to when he started the podcast, so he did it with Brian, and here we are. Brian is suddenly a "stand-up" and an on-air personality, despite the fact that he's always been a video/audio production guy. He should stay off-camera and off-mic.

I agree with all this, but those random butthole/Olive Garden "jokes" really break up the "can you imagines". I doubt he would step back from being so involved in the show and conversations, so expect more random Olive Gardens, 7s and buttholes, unfortunately. Or less? Maybe Joe will put his foot down?

WHY SEE ESS
Sep 12, 2006
Brian is far from the best host, but I think he does provide the necessary 3rd element as other people have mentioned. The podcast with just Duncan and Joe was alright, but it does seem like something was off. I think Joe + one other guest would get boring fast, and people would want another person to be in on the conversation.

I feel pretty bad for Brian because he's obviously going through a lot right now. Him and his girlfriend broke up, two porn girls are harassing him over a podcast he produced for them, Jay Mohr is 'trolling' him on twitter for no apparent reason, and now this argument with Duncan has blown up.

It seems like Duncan lashed out at redban, maybe rightfully so over something he said, was just in anger. Duncan has also apologized multiple times, and Redban does't seem to want to accept. He seriously needs to just let it go and not take personal criticism too hard, but he obviously has a huge issue just admitting he's wrong. Everyone knows about Bill Burr and RSS feeds, but there was also another time where Ari called him out on loving with people while they're tripping and Brian couldn't even say 'sorry' or 'I didn't know I was doing that'. I really do hope that he apologizes to Duncan and grows up from this rather than continuing to be resentful and further alienating himself from Joe's friends/other comics.

People give a lot of poo poo to Brian, and I guess a bit of it is deserved. Still, he puts his heart and his soul (and probably a poo poo load of money too) into providing totally free podcasts that help me get through boring days at work.
