Here's something I read on Tumblr: uu claims Dirk has been drawing "pornography" his entire life. uu's idea of pornography includes depictions of such lewd acts as holding and hugging hands. Which means Dirk has been spending his spare time drawing pictures of him, Jake, Roxy, and Jane hanging out and being chummy, possibly for as long as he's known them.

Dirk is an incredibly lonely person. This is one element of his character that came through very strongly even when he was first being introduced. We're talking about a person who has had to build friends if he wanted to have any at all (an unsatisfying exercise because the only one that's really intelligent was based on himself). He uses his sendificator, despite being technology branded with the great enemy of mankind and of his personal lineage, because it's the only thing that gives him a non-text-based connection, however faint, with the others. He describes himself as having been practically raised by a puppet. He never even tried to block the most aggressively unpleasant troll (in both senses of the term) to be depicted in the comic. Notably, he never does anything that might drive someone away, and immediately backs down when they respond negatively to something he says (which is also interesting when contrasted with the dismissiveness Dave regularly affects). It's even to the point that his friends get frustrated at how incredibly guarded he is. Loneliness is basically what the guy is about.

Hey, it's Red Miles. Did the B1 exiles live 413 years in the future as well? I should have seen this correlation coming I think. fake edit: Yep, http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Exiles says that the exiles were around in the year 2422. I guess that's what year it is for Dirk and Roxy.

Yeah, Red Miles' arrival basically confirms that B2 and B1 are 'simultaneously' Bilious Slick, rather than the 'B2 is in his hand' theory. That's, uh, quite a twist there. Is that Red Miles coming through a Skaia portal? I'm pretty sure the way it just appears in the sky like that is different from how it looked in Cascade. If true, that would mean that's DD's Red Miles, not the one Jack used from outside the universe, and furthermore that Jack's Red Miles don't affect B2 at all.

quote:TT: Minus n is so you don't pair people up with themselves. That wouldn't make sense. I'm pretty sure uu and UU don't actually share a body, if only because the narrative is being way too obvious about it. Literally every other piece of dialogue is screaming "THESE GUYS SHARE A BODY" and it would make a lot of sense for a character based around fantrolls to jerk around the fan expectations a lot.

Glory of Arioch posted:Hey, it's Red Miles. Did the B1 exiles live 413 years in the future as well? I should have seen this correlation coming I think. Well in Jake's memory of his conversation with Dirk, Dirk says he was in the year 2422, but that was three years earlier on Jake's thirteenth birthday, so Dirk and Roxy are in the year 2425 now. However this fits with the three year 'delay' B2 seems to on compared to B1 (sBurb launching in 2012 compared to 2009, etc.) Bongo Bill posted:That's, uh, quite a twist there. Doesn't really look like a Skaia portal to me, and I just re-watched that part of Cascade, and it looks like the Red Miles here is just starting, while the Red Miles in Cascade was already full-blown. Too early to say for sure DD's vs. Bec Noir's but I'm inclined to say Bec Noir's since that fits much better than DD's randomly jumping into a random Skaia portal.

Geddy Krueger posted:How can it come through a Skaia portal if there isn't a Reckoning? There are still portals. In addition to the kids' meteors arriving through them, the Condesce's battleship is seen entering through a Skaia portal, and the carapaces had to have gotten to Roxy's house somehow. Mazerunner posted:Doesn't really look like a Skaia portal to me, and I just re-watched that part of Cascade, and it looks like the Red Miles here is just starting, while the Red Miles in Cascade was already full-blown. Bongo Bill posted:Skaia portals are never random. True, but in order for Red Miles to hit a decent size the portal would have to do something we've never seen them do before, which is stay open for more than a second or two. And where do we see the Condesce's ship coming through a portal? Because during Jane: Enter it's an atmospheric entry and it's burning up and looks like a meteor. e: not denying that there are still portals, the kids + the frog ruin had to get there somehow

With the "I only eat meat or candy, vegetables are disgusting" I'm thinking there's some sort of Prospitian/Dersite carapacefolk link to UU/uu. Meat and candy are the two things that the more "violent" set of carapaces (AR, the Midnight Crew) seem to confine their diet exclusively to! Meanwhile, WV abhors meat and eats only vegetables. That, and uu's typing style is vaguely reminiscent of WV/AR. I dunnooo. If you mixed a white carapace and a black you'd get a grey body, like a troll. Maybe the Condesce resumed her attempts to recreate her race once she entered the Medium by using the carapace creation vats there, and was somewhat more successful than she had been on Earth.

Bongo Bill posted:That's, uh, quite a twist there. Jack used the Red Miles inside the Troll's incisisphere, which is where the frog containing the human universe was, and he was using it directly on the frog, and definitely at full power and with his prototypings augmenting it. DD is using it inside the kid's incisisphere, which contains no frog currently, and certainly not the one which contains the kid's universe. Not to mention DD is using it just to scour a small moon, without nearly the same power as Jack. Furthermore, that doesn't look like a Skaian portal, it just looks like a lesser scale of what was happening at the end of the B1 world, probably to signify it's only just starting. (The kids need time to get there rears into the game, after all.) Both B universes are obviously getting Jacked here.
