I too watched Buck Rogers as a child, because they canceled battlestar galactica after one season and star tracks wasn't movies yet and we were starved for space ships and pew pew, not that scifi shows in the 70s had any of those things besides the same 4 stock clips

i was 4 when tng aired its first episode. it was like a thing we all sat down as a family and got excited about, since my dad was in to tos when he was a kid / teenager poo poo was all sorts of cool as heck. especially compared to the lost in space reruns id been watching

The second part is dated, not nearly as interesting, and reads uncomfortably like fanfic. The Amber books aren't as good as Lord of Light but they're still good. Zelazny's tight prose is the polar opposite of most modern phonebook fantasy.
