No this is like Marvels -1 event. It takes place before issue one of the 52 reboot. Every single DC title is getting one.

While the comicbook industry is pretty embarrassingly immature in its sexual politics, Beaton's stuff is getting overplayed.

Half of that stupid "Strong female characters" comic contradicts the point people think they're making when they post it.

I used to be a big Stormwatch and Authority fan which are the two series that got me back into comics as an adult. I'm not a big comics "follower" though; i don't preorder, I don't know ship dates, and anything about artists/writers I have learned from you guys.

Someone please post Midnighters new look/costume. I have the Stormwatch reboot collection and I will not be buying the next one (I also don't have a scanner)

I don't troll. The SFC comic is funny and a good take-that at the comicbook industry and the silly female poses. I'm not disputing that--I said it was overplayed since it gets posted a lot whenever anything remotely related to comicbook females is mentioned. Especially as it's just that: a joke, and hardly the solution or the witty commentary to end sexism.

Posting it also ignores how it mocks the other side, too: A nice guy gets killed for respecting women, another is deliberately not sexually submissive and is aggressive like comicbook males (least I could do parody). So yes, it was funny at first, but now it's run into the ground, it's not as clever to whip it out as people think it is.

HOWEVER, drawing superhero comics does something to your brain and makes you produce things like the Catwoman cover. This is because superhero comics are almost universally poo poo.

This makes me sad, because I wonder if he planned to do something tastefully sexy like these, but someone higher up wanted more gratuitously ridiculous T 'n A, so he elasticized her spine and added the easy access, hula hoop sized zipper pull to her shirt(feel free to correct me if that's wrong).

Was he not yelling at another artist for criticizing him? He said that the only people who can yell at him are his fans. I assume it's because he doesn't care about their opinion on how to draw.
