"Boomer H. Lynch!" "H... To separate him from all the other Boomer Lynches running around" edit: did I tell you about that time where I had food poisoning, it wasn't bad. I got it real bad in the 80s. But then, I got up, and I BANGED my shin real bad. And then I got up and I left my BANK CARD in the ATM machine. So I had to cancel it. And I'm waiting for another one to arrive in the mail. algebra testes fucked around with this message at 04:23 on Jun 7, 2012 |

I like how Dr. Lucha apologized profusely for taking 10 minutes to talk about his life before getting to the Lucha. The only person who digresses less on the site is Dave. He's talking to Bryan who spends half an hour every week talking to his grandmother. Who hired Mike Coughlin who records his shows walking (and talking to) his dogs. Plus the Big Audio Nightmare which is officially also about hockey. And Dr. Keith Presents which is full of wacky antics. Dr. Lucha is a cool dude.

I bet a JoMo workout regimen would have done well.

I have noticed he is very rarely brought up here, but I figured that was due to the fact that there is not much to talk about in regards to his show. I love his shows and listen to all of them, but there really isn't much to discuss about them. The Stern Sticks do not seem like something I am interested in, but Stern Stick 2 sounds like it would be good if you care about the people he is interviewing.

Was pretty surprised to hear Meltzer say that the current Dixie/Styles/Daniels storyline was the best storyline in wrestling right now. I've been enjoying it but I've found it to be very polarizing, with a lot of people thinking it's really dumb.

It's mainly that there's almost no conceivable way the pay-off, whatever it turns out to be, won't be disappointing. It's either gonna be some dumb secret and they could have ended this whole thing weeks ago by simply revealing it, or Dixie and AJ are loving and, in that case, who cares? Except Serge, I guess. Also, it may turn Dixie heel, which is the last thing the world needs. Bully Ray/Joseph Park is clearly the superior angle, and I can't wait for Joe's brother Chris (you know, Abyss) to show up in the Impact Zone during their match.

Steph/Hunter/Angle was dumb too but it was dumb awesome. This angle is pretty comparable to that. When Styles cut a decent promo about how ridiculous this whole thing was because he was a family man and Dixie had Serge and then Daniels and Kaz come out with a tablet showing them go into a hotel together, it was a real, "OHHHHHH SNAP". People complain all of the time about the heels never getting anything over the faces. This is an example of the faces getting pushed tighter and tighter into a corner. Plus that right hand from Serge was AWESOME. Styles bumped like a champion.

Is the shtick supposed to be like Lost In Cleveland, like Joe Park IS Abyss, and the payoff is Bully busting him open, then he Abyss-es up and pins him? Or is the dumber option and they ARE different guys? (I know Chris Parks is playing both, btw.)

It's pretty much the definition of a wrestling soap opera, but that's why I'm enjoying it. It's fun and it's been well-performed, and things like Dixie going to the production crew demanding to know why they aired that phone message show a real attempt at details that you'd never see in WWE these days. It's still a storyline in its infancy and I'm genuinely interested to see what kind of turns it takes. Gaz-L posted:As someone not really following TNA, I'm a little confused by the Park thing. As for the storyline, it is pretty dumb but everyone involved is playing their roles with such glorious abandon (Daniels especially) that it all works. Dumb storylines can still be fun to watch if everyone's giving it everything they have, and with AJ, Daniels and Kazarian involved it's not like the matches are going to be bad. Though for me, the main creaming point is that the TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD are involved in a main event angle.

I don't think it was even supposed to end up the main event angle, but then it proved to be a ratings gainer so they made it more of a focus.

It involves Dixie, AJ and Kurt Angle by proxy. I'd say it's a major angle for TNA. They are also in a worrysome place with Bobby Roode where he's beaten everyone and there isn't a real credible challenger left. Ken Anderson would be fresh but I have my doubts on people caring and Roode is going to have some trouble carrying reckless ol' Kenny. Of course, the company has been sitting on a possible Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode feud and hasn't really explored it, which I do hope isn't due to stupidity because Kurt Angle is legitimately the only guy who has beaten Roode all year in a title match. I think they'd be best to book Anderson vs. Roode at Hardcore Justice, Angle vs. Roode at No Surrender and then do the Storm vs. Roode rematch at Bound For Glory where Storm beats Roode to finally end his reign. Destination X doesn't need the World Title on the line because it's an X Division PPV (Though some speculate they might do Aries vs. Roode).

That does raise another issue. Who do you put Storm with to build up to BFG? It can't be anything too in-depth, and it has to be moderately credible heels that he can roll over to build momentum. Bully Ray's out, due to him feuding with Joe Park/Abyss, Daniels and Kazarian are out, due to AJ and Angle. Who's left? Matt Morgan? Do Storm/Hardy or RVD in a face/face match?

Likely Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam, Samoa Joe, Brutus Magnus, Robbie E and Crimson.

Clearly as a result of all these lawsuits flying around the wrestling industry lately, Alvarez has managed to procure noted legal expert Joseph Park, Esq for an interview on Figure 4 Daily today. I'm sure it will be an enlightening listen if you're interested in the legal profession, or in Mr Park's tragic family issues with his brother Chris*. *(Y'know, Abyss?)
