I would love to be able to buy a tent and set up camp. I wouldn't mind if it was dangerous, like if there was a risk of monsters waking you up in the middle of the night. I just would like a way to skip night if I'm out in the woods and don't feel like stumbling around in the dark. Don't get me wrong, I love that it is actually really loving dark and dangerous at night, but I don't always want to deal with it.

I'm pretty sure that's a Crimson Robe, because it looks pretty much like what my pawn has been wearing for the last 70ish levels. I believe I got both of mine from chests in one of the later chambers of the Everfall, but one of the two Everfall merchants might also sell it, I forget.

Edit: PS3 Ur Dragon is in its 30 minute grace period of being dead, so if you want in on that, hurry up because I think there's only like ten minutes left.

Couple weird things happened today. I walked outside of Grand Soren and there was a caravan with a bunch of soldiers being attacked by Goblins. The dramatic music was playing and I rushed to their aid. Suddenly, a Griffon hits the ground like a meteor, smashes the caravan to bits and then proceeds to start going to town on the soldiers. I climb on his back and get a few stabs in before he just takes off and flies north leaving me standing there alone wondering what just happened. I found this all odd because as I understood it, this is exactly how a later main story quest goes down, but I haven't even met the Duke yet.

Then, I'm escorting Mercedes to the shadow fort when I come across a guy named Miles being held captive in a cage by a bunch of Harpies out in the canyon where you escort the Hydra head. I save him, he hops down, and says thanks. Hegives me nothing, the screen fades out, and then hes just gone. Was he supposed to give me something or does he do something for me in the future?

Also, I see hardly any pawn levels listed on the goon spreadsheet. Anybody got any good pawns around level 23? Do most of you just friend everyone so you can pick and choose from them in game?

That's one of the infinite repeatable quests, like ambushes, any of the cages you come across can end up filled with a person and you can save them.

I think that's a random encounter. The second time it happened to me, I killed it, though I'm not sure if it's scripted to not run the second time or if I just set it on fire enough that it couldn't.

How often does the Ur-Dragon get killed on the PS3? When I tried fighting him this morning he was on super low health and I guess I missed him dying cause when I went to look he was back to full.

You can make your own pilgrim's charm by combining the periapts that each have half of the charm's effect. Veteran's periapt and Banker's periapt. Or maybe you have to combine the much rarer versions that have unique inventory icons... :v:

Is there a way to restore rotten consumables to their fresh state? I read that you could do that somehow with healing springs, because I cannot get any ambrosial steaks to drop from oxen but I've found a couple rotten ones here and there. But I can't combine the rotten meat or spring water with anything, and standing in the spring for a while didn't restore the meat. Did I just misread something? I really don't want to have to grind oxen here. I've given up on that ridiculous quest to get 5 kept sour ambrosial steaks, but I need the one for Farewell, Valmiro which I didn't do on my first run.

First use combine rotten item with an airtight flask, then combine the kept rotten item with a flask of spring water.

However... kept items don't rot, so you can't get kept sour ambrosial meat from this.

I got a piece of unspeakable meat from a quarry ogre but I'm a long ways from the postgame, so I guess I'll just kill all the oxen I see when I'm running around. Now I really wish there was a recipe to take things out of airtight flasks. I would also be more encouraged to use them to hold perishables if they didn't increase their weight by .45 or something ridiculous like that. As it stands, grandgrapes and the likes are only worth holding when you pick them up on your current expedition.

Kept whatever is a different item entry than not kept. For instance, that one notice board quest calls for 5 Kept Sour Ambrosial Meats. Anyway, the purpose of the Airtight Flask and Keeping items is obviously so that they don't rot if you're out traveling for a long while.

Is the single weapon vendor in Gran Soren really the only place I can get weapon upgrades (short of finding them out in the wilderness) before the postgame and those Everfall vendors open up? I was hoping that the Duke's man, when he talked about giving me all aid and resources, would've started selling weapons but nope. So I guess I'll keep rocking the longbow I found from a goblin chest a couple of days ago.

You can craft frozen holy water, I made one the other day randomly combining junk I had in my inventory.

Frozen Holy Water:
Purifying Brew X Violet Concoction

Violet Concoction is just Crimson Concoction + Cerulean Concoction, and there's a bunch of plants you can combine to make each of those. Purifying Brew is made with Windmill flowers and Crimson Concoction.

Here's a list with locations for gathering flowers:

Yeah I didn't know that either, when we get back I always clean out their inventories but I had wondered what happened to the items in their inventories when they died before we got back to a rift stone.

edit: I never have pawns die in combat, they always fall to their death, and I never notice it until I open up the menu and see that there are only three names listed now.

But now would be good.

So what does a high Magick stat (or really, any Magick stat) on a Warrior-only weapon do? Does the game calculate elemental-affinity attacks using some portion of your Magick instead of your Attack, or is it just a dump stat to make me feel bad?

I ask because, for example: http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Dwells-in-light

Since I know Magick-having daggers are useful for most of the MArcher's Dagger attacks, but I'm not that familiar with Warrior. Do they have enough things to make that sword really neat, instead of just Pretty Neat?
