What Carolla said is true; doctors hate each other, radio hosts hate each other, and loveline fans hate each other.

Well why we're at it, a recent episode of GIO featured the ChumbaWamba episode, and it was the first time I heard it. The gibberish carolla pulls a couple breaks after they excuse themselves is the funniest loveline I've heard in recent memory.

numba waaaan... Trip report on "Not Taco Bell Material": I'm about a quarter of the way through and it's actually a really good read and really dives pretty deep into Adam's personal life and reveals many of the obstacles he faced growing up. So far it's really not much of a repeat of stories told on Loveline as I expected. There are a few bits of information here and there about things he's mentioned but it's actually pretty deep and personal, not something I expected going in it and really not the same sort of "long rant" that the previous book contained. This is definitely feels more like a biography and reads like one as well with its chronological layout. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a Carolla fan even if you're a long time Loveline listener and think you know all the stories. And yes, the pictures are fantastic.

Someone earlier mentioned the GIO podcast. Just listened to the most recent episode and holy gently caress.. Sounds like Giovanni is literally a half-sec away from blowing his head off. I can't say he's a good guy, but the self-pity is downright pathetic. Suicide watch ahoy!

Also holy poo poo some of these episodes are like 8 hours long, does he just put episodes together throw in something depressing at the end and call it a day?

Does anyone know where one could download episodes post-Adam? There are a few bands/guests here and there I'd be interested in hearing. Particularly Psycho Mike era but some Stryker (unfortunately) as well.

Some episodes, particularly the ones about a specific band, will include full songs from that band in between episodes or segments, padding out the episode. Gio also tends to tack on an unnecessarily long and dull interview at the end. Sometimes it's someone of note from the "Carolla universe," such as Anderson, Lynette, or even Adam himself. Sometimes it's just another Carolla boards forum poster. I tend to turn them off at that point.

Well I know giving money to whoever has employed Simone is reprehensible, but the official site is only $5 a month and there are archives all the way from the end of the Stryker era.

They were just mp3s so no license or anything. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The early Mike stuff and up until September of 2011 is great, much better than Stryker. I used to frequent Mike's "Stinky Pinky" game until a horrible, horrible night with Lisa Lamponelli.

Hormones posted:AGREED, I utterly cannot stand that cow. yeah you can download them. Its worth it for the 9 months or so of pre-Simone Mike goodness. There is even an extra 11 minutes of pre-show banter between Mike Anderson and Drew per ep. I am listening to the post-Stryker Drew + guest host shows. Its sort of uneven, sometimes quite disappointing. Drew is way too polite, he really needs Adam to cut through the boring interview Hollywood crap.

He pronounces it "lie-locks". I know I've heard it a good handful of times, mostly when he's joking about the odor of genitals. I know the most recent time I heard it, the guest even called him out on it, and he said to Drew "lie-locks, they're a flower, right?", to which Drew uttered a grunt, and Adam was all "I knew it". It was one of these two episodes, I'm sure of that: http://www.lovelinetapes.com/shows/?id=165&h=OGI3NWI0NTY http://www.lovelinetapes.com/shows/?id=363&h=ZWJjZGNhOWF
