I'd like to have the floor mats and the two tone seats/door panels. I will keep my body style and 5.3l V8. I know of three of them that come to my work and two of them are mint with a ton of miles. You could pick either of them up for $2500 - $3000 and one of them has the Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet dealer badge and plates.

Seriously considering picking this up. I'm but a poor uni student but I'll be damned if I don't make it happen! I sold my first car (a 325e) for $100. Looking back all it needed was a good service and some love. I now know a lot more about cars so I'd love to work on an e30. Anything I should look out for in a test drive? It's been a few years since I've been near one of these. Edit: Oh and I will definitely take off that M badge on the front

Hashal posted:How much would maintenance kill me on this? That is directly proportional to the maintenance done on it in the last 2 years providing it's been driven semi regularly. At $2200 (evan correcting for the undesirable interior/exterior color) on a clean looking car, my guess is: almost no maintenance, only enough to make it run and it hasn't been driven regularly because the current owner thinks its an unreliable piece of poo poo.

this seems like the best place to ask, but is double-lowballing a common thing? I had a Bride recliner seat and rail to suit an S13/14 advertised. priced seperately, but if sold together to one guy i would do a deal. I got an offer from the forum I posted it on. seat was $800 ono, rail $150, both for $875. offer was just "would you take $700?" I ask him to clarify if he means for both or just the seat. He replies, asking what model of rail it is and what it fits (both clearly stated in the ad, with pics, and on a god drat SILVIA forum so ya know, silvias, idiot). i tell him anyway. he comes back after half hour (apparently matching make and model is hard to do) and says 'rail wont fit my car, will you take $600 for the seat only?' I got to thinking that he probably meant the seat only in the first place and is probably just talking me down, so I replied "you said $700, Ill take $700". he is now telling me $600 is as high as he can go the thing is in as-new condition, and I paid $1100 retail for it, so hes getting a pretty good deal IMO. just seems bizarre to read my ad and then vaguely offer an amount and then play dumb on what it will fit.

If you're selling a car that comes with a spare parts car, you probably don't want to have that one as your first picture: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3111580254.html I'm not saying this is a deal or anything, only that as the ad comes off now, people will close the tab right away.

I've had people come all the way out to see a car (a nice car not asking for much) and offer only half the stated ad price, and leave with no sale. People are awful.
