Nick and Artie are both blinded by their own privilege to the point where everyone else is just a freeloader.

I really believe Artie when he says he's not political because he's done a complete about-face with his politics since the Stern show. He used to agree with all of Howard's anti-conservative rants, and now he agrees with all of Nick's anti-liberal rants and says he leans toward the right.

RoughDraft2.0 posted:

You got that right: he used to be so obnoxiously affected that I think people who truly hate Stern are justified if they stopped listening around 1987.

I don't even try to listen to the older stuff, but to be fair, comedy doesn't hold up well over time. And since Stern has done much pop-culture satire, there's almost no hope of it being funny without the cultural context.

Two great points in two short sentences.

Oh man, I've got to jump ahead when they're back on live. I cannot wait to hear him weigh in on the Paterno statue flap. I mean, right now I'm of the opinion that they should just leave it be, but Rick's gotta busting at the seams over the whole thing.

I would love to call in and ask him about his opinion of Tom Yawkey. I'm sure Nick could find a reason to defend him for the Red Sox being the last team to integrate and trading away every talented black player until Jim Rice.

Uploaded today, 624 dislikes. Great stuff. So I assume they're finally back? Legitimately excited to hear about the AGT live shows since Stern's been great so far and Howie has been awful`. Oh poo poo, just saw that Alec Baldwin and Woody Harrelson were in this morning and now I'm really excited.

e: Holy poo poo the comments on that vid are exploding, the brony community is up in arms. This is the first time I'm seeing legit outrage towards Stern as it's happening and it's amazing.

Because humans are sexual creatures and we will always find ways to make things sexual, whether cause someone actually finds it hot or just jokes about it. But we're also a species of individualists, so we're not all gonna like the same things

I don't get it either, I think it must all be people trolling. Honestly there has to be about a zero percent chance that this post was made seriously:

Yeah, it's really hard to tell. I know I suffer from severe depression, and sometimes get "Mike Tyson" angry, but I try to control it. I've never had substance abuse problems, so I'm not sure if Artie's "episode" is related to that, but I do know that depression can lead to what he did.

She's certainly not in studio, because you could hear her cats yesterday.

Wait when was she back in the studio? As far as I know, she was out about 2 weeks before the break, they had their 2 week break, and she's still out. Are they trying to play like she's in the studio now?

Are they actually trying to convince the listeners that Robin is in the studio? I know Woody made sort of a joke about it yesterday ("Oh you look good Robin!") but I assumed it was just that, a joke. But if they're actually trying to deceive people into thinking she's in the studio, that's just ridiculous.

At the top of Monday's show Howard joked about hearing a baby in the background and it turned out to be Robin's cat. Beyond that I don't remember them ever once alluding to her being out of the studio, and anyone tuning in for the first time in months would have no clue what they were talking about.

I was under the impression that Robin was back in the studio as well, and was surprised by the allusions to her being at home. I definitely remember the same sort of thing you do Manifest, where people were excited to have her back. I think she was most likely back for a day or two and something happened over the break/she got used to being at home, there's no way they could try to fake her being in the studio what with Howard TV and such, right?
