https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWJ5xnTiP5U The greatest video game wrestling match in the history of our sport. Again. (poo poo gets real after two minutes or so) WWE '12 is actually a pretty good game and more fun to play than any wrestling game THQ has released in the last eight years. That said, it could have used a playtesting budget bigger than the three dollars THQ paid to the hobo who lives in the dumpster behind their offices (who had previously been hired to test the PC version of Saints Row 2). You get glaringly obvious glitches at least once in every play session, although usually they're more minor ones (wonky hit detection, physics freaking out, etc.) and not... this. Don't have a video but I had a wonderful bug happen in the classic shooter Smash TV last week. At the end of each screen the players need to go to a doorway to progress to the next stage. Somehow my partner's contestant got left behind while my own contestant moved to the next level. The level started as normal but a tonne of the enemies focused upon attacking my partner, so they ran off the top of the screen to go get him! Even better, there was a turret gunner enemy who was extremely confused and span around firing in every direction, including through his own wall. Nice!

Zen Guy posted:In League of Legends, Darius gets a pentakill at 2:30 thanks to a teleport glitch: In case anyone is wondering, this is done via a combination of 3 things, one of which has since been fixed: 1. Darius (the champion in question) has a move where he throws his axe forward and pulls it back - anyone hit gets pulled towards him. There's a very slight delay between the spellcast beginning and the pull occuring. 2. He's taken a summoner spell called Teleport. This lets him teleport to any friendly unit on the map after a short delay (he's placed a ward at spawn to teleport to). Importantly - and this is the part they had to patch - while normally doing anything during the delay before teleporting stops it, there was a very small point in time at the end of the teleport animation where you could cast a spell but the teleport still goes off. 3. To prevent spawn camping, the spawn has two indestructible turrets nearby that fire horrible death rays. So the sequence of events is something like: Darius begins casting teleport -> Darius casts his pull move at the exact moment before the teleport goes off -> Teleport goes off, returning him to spawn by the death-ray turrets -> his pull finishes but shits a brick and decides to send the enemy team on a merry flight to his current location (back at his spawn) -> death rays kill everyone.

However they do tend to run off or charge ahead, leaving us to get carried off by special infected. Occasionally they actually make it to the helicopter. Then everyone else votes to kick them from the server.

lovely song parody! posted:Game glitch, speeds by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j7LtCKHfec&t=25s OK basically what's happening here is a simple malfunction of the Hedgehog Engine, the rendering engine used in Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations. The Hedgehog Engine uses planes and splines coded into the level to queue up texture-loading, designed so that as long as the player passes through the texture-loading section, even at top speed, the textures will load for the next section of the level. Surprisingly for a game that's all about speed, this works quite well; even the impossible speeds frequently achieved in Sonic Unleashed rarely break this system when following the natural layout of the level. Load-times are managed effectively and the game looks really pretty because of the high-quality art assets. However, if the player can avoid the texture-loading splines, the textures and mappings... don't load. Some common elements remain and all collision is intact, but beleave it or not, Sonic's running on air! This glitch doesn't help speedrunners but it certainly occurs as a byproduct of some of the fastest runs, such as: KAKIPI1000's runs of Modern Planet Wisp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtLLWd0DGE4 and Paraxade0's runs of Modern Seaside Hill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w4nCqB9nRQ and Modern Chemical Plant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6k7rLnliW4

Zombie Hovering in Wind Waker always manages to get laughs. Basically, when you die, you get a couple frames to perform an action. If you get off the ground, you can keep on mashing B to do a jump-slash. It may not seem like it's very useful, since you die right after entering an area, but if you use it to trigger a cutscene, you save that cutscene's flag and it's deathwarp. Win/win. If you can get the Tingle Tuner to heal you, or land on a heart/fairy, you won't actually die.

Brother Jonathan posted:I love that game. I've never played Skate 3 and I've never tried to use an in-game video editor, so I may be completely wrong when it comes to this, but I'm under the impression that these aren't happening during gameplay, they're only happening in the video editor. My reasoning is that a physics engine may react one way during gameplay but when you replay it, it's literally the controller inputs but still a real-time physics engine. That's why you can see a player doing some inputs that make sense, but the physics react completely differently. That other video linked has perfect examples of what I'm trying to say, the guy replaying the same trick over and over but the physics engine acting differently each time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh_nyP0zpSM A few Skyrim AI glitches all at once; scripting errors, inability to climb a foot-high ledge, confusion about whether they were trying to kill me or not, pathfinding, and that really annoying one where NPCs will start conversations while you are fighting and you have to quickly exit the conversation to regain control, while the enemies wail on you. Bastard really wanted those fragments.
