There's been one since the second game came out. It was a webcomic serialized on famitsu.com.

With the exception of Arc System Works, every company involved with making and distributing this game seems to have handled it really poorly.

See, that sort of nonsese can fly with a PS3 game when I can buy the thing on Import. This, and I hate to sound like a broken record, can't for all the region locking poo poo that's floated around this.

Quite frankly, Zen can take the game and shove it.

Yeah, I said this in the Vita thread but every single bit of that looks like runoff from the Japanese release they shoved into a special edition. It's disgusting.

I think it's just basic logical deduction. As long as there is a single dollar to be earned from milking P4, Atlus will do so. They will milk those teats until only blood comes out and the cow has to be put down.

I'm a sucker for big boxes, I don't even care what's in them most of the time. I anticipate that these will be worth a bit later on since most people will use the stickers and then it'll be a box inside of another box.

So, I'm a bit late to the game in regards to the Devil Survivor games. I know that difficulty is kind of a trademark of many of the SMT games, but a lot of the missions in DS1 are complete bullshit, particularly the ones where you have to save civilians all the way on the other side of the map who are surrounded by enemies and if you don't have all the correct skills you won't even get there in time to do anything about it. I don't mind having to do a bit of grinding here and there to make sure all my demons are up to the task for the mission on occation, but having to do those missions 5+ times just to find the exact correct positioning and skills to save that one civilian who happens to be all the way in the back with demons right next to them just drives me to not want to finish the game.

My question is does DS2 have those same "Don't let a single suicidal civilian die even though there is almost no chance of saving them" missions? If those were removed I may just say "screw this" to finishing the first one and move on to 2.

I don't recall there being any missions where you're stuck rescuing civilians that are completely out of reach in DS2, no. There might be some that come kinda close, I don't recall exactly, but thanks to racial skills you can generally get them out of there or keep them healed up to keep it reasonable.

Technically there are these kinds of missions a lot, but they're not the same as in the first game. Typically you're protecting one person, and they aren't completely loving stupid and defenseless. I don't think I ever got close to having them die.

Instead, the game compensates by giving the bosses bullshit gimmicks.

Besides one or two particular maps in DS1 (which most people automatically know which ones I'm referring to) all you really need is to get some demons with flight or phantasm and it makes the dumb NPC escort missions alot more tolerable

e: They're still stupid, though. and actually a few were worse in overclocked in Naoya's non tyrant path because they spawn literally right next to the demons in the maps

It made phys characters and agi based characters more viable, and the new content is nice and the VA is decent. I can't think of anything it did worse besides a few escort missions in a certain person's 8th day.

Its the exact same game with very minor changes, the civilians are still retarded to. And I personally found the voices to be abysmal and shut them off.

I have a question about Persona 3.

I'm restarting P3P as the girl link and I want to try not using Direct Commands, but I'm can't seem to get Akihiko to use his de-buffs in floor guardian fights. Do I need to use a command other than Heal/Support?
