I was watching the DVD extras, at first they wanted Jerry to play Frank as weak and timid and it didn't work out so the actor decided to start screaming everything and everyone loved it. Pretty neat how the actor got to switch the character around like that.

I can't wrap my head around the idea of George's parents being timid in any way, I can't believe it was originally intended to be that way. George is so obviously born out of pure rage.
