That was amazing, other than the fact that it was full of slowdown to the point of unplayability in Opera, so I had to use Chrome. Also, the portraits were actually all really nice and expressive. Except for Aradia's which captured expressiveness but lacked the nice part, which looks like it may be another Slunk work. I have a feeling it may have put people off of the rest in the flash since it was one of the first ones people saw. Most of the other portraits look like they were done if not by, then vaguely mimicing the style Lexxy did, which is where most of the previous good ones were like too. So I guess I need to install Chrome to get this to work or something? In Firefox all I get is the part with Meenah looking at the bubbles then running downstairs looping endlessly, I was actually kind of confused at such a short and pointless flash until I came to this thread and saw people talking about a walkaround.

I'm surprised that any of the quirks except for the Sufferer's were giving anyone issues. (Pyrope's is literally just Terezi's with lower case, and although that was tough back then, I got used to it loooong ago.)

Didn't notice there was an update until it was too late. What the hell MSPA Notify, where were you?! In any case, I can make an avatar out of pretty much anything in this thanks to the open source html5 docs the coder put up. If you have a request, let me know! Too much content here to just shotgun like I normally do. As far as the update goes: Meenah is a nice redemption for us Pisces who felt ripped off by Feferi. Yeah, sure, there's the Condesce, but she is just a puppet so that wasn't any better. I read every single word Kankri had to say, which made the Karkat silent stare cause a solid minute of out loud laughter. After grueling through every single thing he had to say, going up to him as Latuna and hearing him be outright sexist really nailed how hosed of a character he is. This, in turn, cracked me up as well. Also you just know Kank's belt buckle is gonna be important in some weird way, either as a punchline or a plot device. Latuna, eh, to be honest I found her boring. It's Terezi's excitement combined with Dave/Dirk radness! Welp. (Also she used the word "year" instead of "sweep" so, hey, good job making a deal out of that earlier in the flash then messing it up later!) Porrim. Oh Porrim. This is going places. Terrible places. I can't wait for more. (Also, we now get to see what happens when the fandom gets its hands on the only overtly sexualized character in the entire story! Let's just end the world now.) All this and the one dude I really want to meet the most, Gamzee's ancestor, isn't in. The next updates cannot come soon enough. Bottom line, Kanaya is still the best. I had the same problem; turned out this update can't handle Flashblock (or vice versa). If you're using that or something similar, try whitelisting the site. I did notice a separate issue in Firefox, though, which is that layering didn't seem to work; Meenah was passing in front of the tops of arches and such. Anyone know if that happens in Chrome?

I've never been on tumblr before and I don't really get it, but theres already an awesome Porrim cosplay, probably the only Homestuck cosplay I have been impressed by. Also, I was going to go to sleep 2 hours ago, but I thought I'd check to see if the section after Dave would finally load, and welp now its 5 am, thanks Hussie!

Oh hey a SA Homestuck thread. I liked this flash a lot, although due to my impatience to see all the new characters I probably missed all the neat details. I had a few problems reading Kankri's quirk at the start, although that might have been to do with the fact that there was so loving much of it. I got used to it and everyone else's by the end of the flash, though. I loved Laluta, although I agree there wasn't much to her. Porrim I didn't like a lot, although I'm not a fan of Kanaya either so that might explain it. I did like how she was adressing the actual issues in Beforu's society whilst Kankri was just being an arrogant blowhard. In fact, Kankri was my favourite overall, just because how much of a dick he really was. I'm not too familiar with the Tumblr Social Justice Warrior types, but his hypocrisy, contrasted with the Sufferer's genuine messages of social reform, and his "DON'T TOUCH ME" moment raised a few laughs. If Tavros' ancestor's name doesn't have a name that isn't a play on Rufio I'll aw who am I kidding of course it will be.

I always have trouble with these flashes, in that I have a hard time discerning what is a door/staircase/pathway you can walk down, and what is a wall--I assume stuff is a wall and miss parts of it. At least there will probably be a walkthrough after I get home from work. I've never been real big on that sort of video game. Also, DaveKap will you please make an avatar of Dave shrugging/smiling for me? I will buy you archives or some poo poo if you'd like.

My prediction for Darkleer is that he takes the whole highbloods looking after lowbloods thing super seriously. After all, Equius was all kinds of into the hemospectrum. It kind of makes sense that his pre-scratch ancestor/descendant/whatever would be the kind of guy who volunteers in troll soup kitchens for poor unfortunate lowbloods. Then again Redglare turned out to be a r4dic4l g4m3r, so who the gently caress knows?

This flash owned so hard. I played that thing a solid hour at least (Between struggling through Kankri and Latula's dialogue and my friend messaging me every 5 seconds). Rose  I love everything about her. She's so friendly to Meenah and .Kid Darkleer is definitely going to be a super charming and dashing guy, calling it now. I also loved the Peanuts bit at the end. Also, I just can't wait to see the massive influx of new fan art that will and has risen from this update.

Technically, GameGlr is a new, different song from GameGrl, being a combination of it and Teal Hunter. That subtle difference makes it awesome instead of annoying. And I believe Porrim's is Jade Mother, but I didn't check. Of all of the new trolls, I think Laluta's most likely to get relegated to a joke non-character. Kankri and Porrim have places to go narratively-speaking, but Laluta's one of the Equius-style one-note characters that's good for a laugh every so often, but not really worth focusing on. Which I think is good, because one of the things I've always loved about Homestuck is how Hussie doesn't even let his one-note joke characters go without putting some proper effort into them.
