Their behavior really reeks of a situation where they are secure where they are because everyone beneath them in the totem pole has no pull at all, and everyone above them has people to deal with that are actually important. That feeling that jerks get when they know they are set for as long as they want to be there and most everyone else will be lucky to be there for three years. Maybe that's inputting a lot there, but I have never heard anything nice about Michael Cole.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_KCuwQrsmw First time I saw and realized kayfabe broke was the 'make it good' right before the hellish arm break that in shots afterwards rather obviously didn't happen. Jesus, Dusty, you of all people should know that what happens as carny stays as carny. The other time was a spread in The Wrestler or maybe even PWI of the guys on their day off. And in a couple shots you have Flair and Tully Blanchard lounging around the pool... and in a shot a page over you have the leisure time of Magnum TA... lounging in what is obviously the same pool with the same people. NO.. NOOO! Kayfabe ruined! Back then the whole drat business was carny as hell, and to break it like that was rather strange. Edit - I always thought TA was Arn-level good on the camera... probably a different thread, but no accident to cripple him, where is he now?

I always assumed they left in him saying Make it good because that was Dusty's character's kayfabe way of saying "You drat well better hope you get this right, because otherwise, I will gently caress you up".
