Somewhere around 120-124, I think… I've been binging so I'm not sure.

Eee: I can't Google it though, but I'm sure I just listened to it six hours ago.

The not-talking-at-Leaf thing is explained in episode 4 of this other podcast they appeared on: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-w-weekly/id159317945.

As others have already said, he was sick of his orders getting hosed up, so he started experimenting with giving written orders at various places (with good results). He had been doing it at that restaurant since it opened though, so when the thing with his schizophrenic soulmate happened, he couldn't just start talking for the first time because they thought he was mute. One time when he was in there his cell phone (back when he still had one) started to ring and the employees all looked at him to see what he would do. He just ignored it.

That is hilarious. I do remember a very brief mention to the notion that the staff at Leaf thought he was a mute; a new waiter loudly proclaimed "the guy is a mute" to which the rest of the staff replied "Yeah, well he isn't deaf" (or words to that effect).

Does anyone know offhand what the episode is where Seth keeps launching into rants about being in AA? I want to say it was somewhere in the 100's, but I can't find it in Weck's wiki.

125 has the story of being trapped in a "makeshift rape room" by a gay dude at his first late night meeting on Melrose, and his second AA meeting in Beverly Hills with Chuck Negron of 3 Dog Night making a big, lovely speech ("I got laid!...I used to have of threesomes," and I'm thinking, When is this story going to go sour?)

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope! It's mentioned again, but with no real resolution. The takeaway is, don't put your kid in a Sci-Ti preschool.

UYD fans really should check out Walking the Room. It has kind of the same chemistry, but more angry and stand-uppy and more personal stories then news stories. It's similar enough that it has a wiki too.

Definitely worth a listen.

The dude who did the Korean student postcards is running a contest on the UYD forums where one of the students will write you a new postcard. There are a lot of rules and it'll probably be gummed up by the psychopaths who inhabit that board, but worth a shot I guess.

Yeah and Marc kept calling it "Um Yeah Dude". Still pretty cool, though. The whole thing about how his girlfriend is super into it and Marc kind of sees it the way a parent would is pretty funny. "She's really into this thing called Um Yeah Dude, it's these two guys, I dunno! Kids!"

Edit: And man I would love it if more people listened to this. I live in Indianapolis and none of my friends listen to it so I don't have any one to talk about it with outside of this forum. I recommend it to people plenty but often times the only way you can get someone to listen to something is when they're trapped in your car and they have to listen to it.

Loved Seth's breakdown regarding Beck's new sheet music album.

"I don't want to be involved in the process. I'm not a musician! You're the fuckin' professional! I'm a professional podcaster, I don't think of ideas we could say in a show, take it to Beck, and say, 'Interpret.' 'Jif is doing a contest - Interpret!'"

Sup Indy goon. I basically forced my brothers to listen to this and thankfully they loved it, so now I can just text them things like "If i get home and it's over 80 in the house, I'm just going to rent a scenic grand canyon helicopter and jump out of it"

Going to have to check out 59 and 50. At this point I think if I started from the beginning, I will have listened to half of them already.
